Lol. Yes, because of the finite speed of light, technically, all photographs are of the past.

Now, if you want to take photos of a the very distant past, get a really powerful telescope with a camera attachment. But instead of taking a photo of some other planet, take a photo of the edge of some black holes, If you are lucky enough, and the black holes are not rotating too severely, you could get light bent around several of them that came from the earth itself many millions or billions of years ago......

Now who wants to fund this study? Fork over the money!

This may be along the same lines here. I've seen on TV years ago (I can't remember the show....maybe it was That's Incredible) this guy would concentrate really hard on an image....say the golden gate bridge. He would hold a camera and take a picture of his forehead. When the pictures were developed, it showed an image of his thought instead of his forehead. Granted they weren't crystal clear images, buy rather blurry. But you knew what you were looking at....and it wasn't his forehead.
