I have to agree. How can the original post topic be deflected so quickly without it first being addressed? Perhaps it's easier to deflect to a "safer" topic than to examine and discuss what's being shown and what might be behind it?

I am a Muslim, and I would like to share my thoughts and facts regarding your post. I hope you find this info I wish to share with you, useful.

I and many other Muslims all over the world do not support these extreme fanatics who claim that their actions are taught and are part of the sharia law. This is nothing but lies and deception. They are nothing but extremely sick brainwashed fanatics, who mix their extreme ways of their culture with the religion. Islam is a complete way of life, not just a religion. It teaches peace, and guidance from the creator of the heavens and the earth.

ISLAM doesn't teach killing, nor violence, unless you are in the battle field with your enemy (like in a war). Which is only natural to fight back.

God said in numerous verses in the Quran, that whoever does wrong, will only harm himself, and could get punished depending on how bad the sin is. But if they repent, then He is most forgiving most merciful, and loves those who repent to him and ask for forgiveness.

It is essential to be merciful, forgiving and compromising in Islam. Just like how the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was.
These extremists don't seem to have mercy for these people to repent or give them another chance...
Whoever does injustice to anyone and doesn't fix it, they will pay for it.

God said in the Quran that: who ever kills a person unjustly, its as if he killed all of humanity. And whoever saves a person, its as if he saved all humanity. So can you imagine how bad the extremist's and murderers accounts will be on the day of judgment?

What everyone needs to Understand is, the population of practicing Muslims in the world totally out numbers the population of the extreme fanatic ones.
And we Muslims want the same thing as everyone else, which is to stop all acts of terrorism, and this is including all other non Muslim extremists and governments and gangs etc. (as we all know it)

Something you need to know if you already didn't. and I hope I don't come out as ''preaching'' to anyone, no. Because everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and ways. I'm simply sharing some info which some don't know, and is related to the topic.

The word - ISLAM means - Submission or surrendering to the will of the creator.

MUSLIM means - One who submits or surrenders to the will of the creator.
It doesn't mean if you are one who submits to the will of god, that you are perfect or an angel. Because Ive seen many Muslims doing bad things and ruining the real image of Islam..and im sure many others have seen this too..sad to say..

So don't judge the religion of Islam by the actions of some Muslims.
because Islam simply doesn't teach what they do.

We got bigger things to worry about in this world than those extremists. And they will get what they deserve sooner or later..

Hard to argue with this. So.. now we have to consider a resolution. How should behavior/actions such as this be addressed?

Some would suggest that the only way to defeat an ideology is to remove the people that sustain its belief. In effect suggesting every person that subscribes to Islamic faith, every Arab, everyone who kills or has the intention to kill (which may include Gun owners) be put to death. This logic, through extrapolation could, eventually apply to each and everyone on this planet. So as to say, you can't beat an idea or belief, you can only remedy the consequences of the choices people make.

We also have to consider the fact that the act or acts of crime are synonymous to us all, excluding race, nationality and religion.

Appreciate the info you provide. I, for one, have never believed that this was a Muslim thing. I always figured it was the usual 10% or so of bad apples that you would find in any group.

I hope people will consider the fact there are extremists in every group/religion/political affiliation/race/etc. This doesn't diminish the heinous act this post brings our attention to but things equally as horrific happen frequently all over the world... It could be said that it's Human Nature that people hate here as evil is far too difficult to singularly identify. To further explain this point; People are not born with the desire to commit crimes. People are a product of many things such as environment, peer and parental influence, life experience and personal perception.

After reading through this thread, because it has jumped pages since I was last online. I must say, many members many perspectives.

To those who say the video is too much to be viewed, try and remember ATS was at the forefront when the Nick Berg and other beheading videos came about.

It was members of ATS and other online conspiracy sites, who were trying to find the answers of whether or not the videos were faked, because the theory was plausible.

As for personal sensibilties being hurt, you read the warning, you chose to continue. Some of you find this material offensive and it should be, other feel it ought to be known of because extemist religious zealots, nomatter what faith are still zealots.

Those accusing me of pushing a propaganda agenda, sure fine if it shuts you up and directs the discussion back on topic. Yes, I have an agenda of furthering public awareness.

Media of any form, from radio to television or published papers to this internet is all media with some ones propaganda.

But the atrocities are still real, no matter what label one decides to give it.

Piss and moan about how you don't agree with this material and go ahead and point the finger back at the USA for bombing. Misdirect as you wish, but it doesn't change reality for the rest of the world.

I agree with you that this should be known. People need to know exactly how messed up people on this stinking little rock really are.

We have to remember this, these are human beings doing these things. They are human beings violently beheading another person. Yes they do it for some jacked up religious extremism they have fallen into, but they are still human beings with free will. They freely chose to do this.

It's disgusting and it was hard to watch, but it does need to be known.

Muslims that don't condone this sort of thing need to stand up for their religion. They need to really shut these people down. Most Muslims I know are very nice people who would never hurt a fly.
