Another medium/big Earthquake! There have been so many this year. It seems like there has been one 6+ one weekly. Is this normal? Maybe some island is
going to pop up out of the sea. That would be awesome! The creation of a new island would be awesome to see, and it would also bring in a lot of new
resources. Either that, or a volcano is going to blow soon, which seems more likely.
The reason I am thinking of this is because of all of the Earthquakes in that one centralized area.

Back in the mid sixties (the decade not my age) I lived in Naha, Okinawa. I can remember an earthquake where I watched the ground behind our house
move like ocean waves. That is a tiny island to be on if a tsunami came rolling in.

I would freak out if I saw that. That would be a little
to weird for me.

I'm curious why you think as you state above regarding the resources.
Yep, there seem to a lot more 6.0 and stronger quakes lately.

Iron could be raised from the ground, it could unearth new metals from under the sea, etc. I don't expect an island to appear, i just kind of had
that thought.

Between 1973 and 2008 the average number of 6.0+ earthquakes recorded worldwide annually was 133. The highest number was 203 in 1995 and the lowest
was 84 in 1989.
As of now, there have been 132 this year. Pretty normal.

I thought I had heard about a new volcanic island forming sometime earlier this year.
This is a story from 2006, maybe it was that and I just heard about it this year.
