The White House is promising that new figures being released Friday will be a more accurate showing of progress in President Barack Obama's economic recovery plan. It aggressively defended an earlier, faulty count that overstated by thousands the jobs created or saved so far.

Lies, purposeful exaggeration or simple incompetence?

There does seem to be a real pattern of deception here. First we have underlings running around claiming the stimulus was a huge success and now phony inflated numbers.

To me it does not matter if it is lies or incompetence. Either is unacceptable and it seems a pattern. Are the radical academicians he surrounds himself with even competent to run a corner store let alone the US Government?
