I feel really bad for Dean (the host) he used to be a great actor as the Lone Gunman on the Xfiles- and now he is all awkward and stumbling his words
on the teleprompter.

Yes- just the idea that it could possibly capture a spirit- like the box's in Thirteen Ghosts- is a wild theory, that I didnt this was physically
possible to do. Id love to see more research on that done!!!

Wow I cant believe this thread did not explode after the Tesla coil experiment. It worked and they had a demon taunting them. The guy who made the
Tesla unit was tackled into a wall, Had an EVP meter pulled out of his hand and tossed down the hall.
They got great pictures of the Demon as a big ball of energy as one of them felt it tugging on his leg. They knew it was Demonic because it smelled of
Sulfur.
Pretty good all and all but the commercials were ridiculous and they should have stuck with the Tesla unit longer. I'm sure they will do a show on
just that soon given the great results.

Wow, I can't see how TAPS can compete with that, very exciting show for paranormal studies. The device that looked like some radio frequency analyzer
thing picked up a lot of communication and the Dr Frankenstein contraption blew my mind

I thought the show was an absolute joke. There was so much wrong with it I hardly know where to start....
Conversing with EVPs- Really? I mean, REALLY? They used the cheapest recorders they could find, and had the volume cranked up to point where the
background noise was a rumbly hiss at all times. Then they "heard" responses to every question they asked. Sorry, not buying it. It's just like
seeing pictures in clouds or TV static, they "heard" what they wanted to hear. I heard nothing but noise. Never before have I seen a case where all
questions asked were answered.
That Ghost Radio, or SP-whatever he called it- I'd like to know what frequency ghosts talk at, so I can tune them in, too. That thing was just
picking up on random radio signals. Again, they "heard" what they wanted to hear. I can get the same thing with my guitar amp. Ridiculous.
It knocked the meter out of my hand!- I saw him throw it! C'mon! That guy was a clown. All his "It's getting hot in here", "Oh yes,
you'll see apparitions", "Can you feel the energy?". Of course they could feel the energy. They had a freakin' Tesla coil running!! I saw
no apparitions, just "orbs" on the little camera. He had those guys running up and down the hallway chasing nothing, and then slammed himself
into the wall for good measure. He should just call himself Mr. Hype.
Did you hear that?- I don't know how many times they said that. The other guys/gals aleays heard it. I never did. Not once.
All in all, it was the biggest B-grade ghost hunting show I ever saw in my life. Y'all can believe it if you want to, but I just can't. It was a
load of hooey spewed over the airwaves for your viewing pleasure.
After all, it would have been a loooong, boring show if nothing happened.

Not sure about that spirit capture thing either...
Wasn't the host one of the Lone Gunman from the show X-files? I agree though, he seemed really nervous.
I truly like the Ghost Adventures, but when they brought Chris Fleming in, I stopped watching. That guy was a total fake on the show Dead Famous and
didn't do TAPS any justice when he was a guest on their show either.

i don't know how half arsed you were paying attention, but for a majority of the EVPs i heard exactly what they were hearing. i also heard most of
the noises they heard when they "what was that'd"
the spirit box...they were getting direct responses to what they were saying. i'd agree that it was radio interference (after all, the first time
they turned it on, the guy who invented it did say it was possible to get cell phone and radio interference) but it was direct responses. plus, the
walls are 2 and a half feet thick of solid material. (they explained parts of the makeup in the beginning), so radio and cell phone interference is
majorly limited as i see it. i can't even get a damn signal in my apt half the time, let alone a normal office building.
i'm saying this as someone who first off, is very skeptical of ALL of these shows. i have to be made to believe them. and i don't like the main
guy...don't even know his name, i just call him captain douche bag. the others aren't much better themselves.
the guy with the tesla coil thing seemed to be the least genuine thing about the show, watching the replay of the device being "ripped" from his
hand, it leaves plenty of room for hoax there.
and the "feeling energy" happened all over the place, not just in that one room. and by that point, of course theyd be running up and down the hall
at that point, it was hour 5, probably been up for at least 12 before hand, and this new device they wanted to work. i agree though the orbs thing
couldve just been light and dust.
but i will tell you what made me believe this event was genuine: they were in the medical building on the second floor with all the doors open along
with that couple trying to get EVPs. the girl kept saying she thought she was seeing shadows behind Aaron who was trying to make a contact. Captain
Douchebag was down the hall on his own in the opposite direction. Then, i notice a shadow figure of a head, next to Aaron's shadow. i saw no way it
coudlve been anyone who was there because first, there couldnt be a shadow from the EVP guy, because he was behind the light source, the females
shadow was to the left of Aarons, and nick was behind the light source as well.
also, while watching the web cam of the medical building first floor, everyone went upstairs, then about a minute later they were on tv upstairs not
near that spot and i saw a shadow figure on the back wall.
i am going to try to track down videos of these to post here.

I don't know if this has been seen yet, because this particular video has only 32 views. In the following video, the narrator 'Snazzy' basically
slow-mo's the scene where "billy bob" is using the machine and has the detector supposedly ripped out of his hand. Snazzy's narration is
particularly amusing but he also makes a valid point if you take the time to watch it.

Nick and Zack both debunked the emf toss. They concluded that he threw the emf detector.

I like to watch these guys.....almost always for pure entertainment. This years live even made me laugh a bit until I switched channels. I was just
not that impressed, the show was obviously pure entertainment with little seriousness directed to ghost hunting....I was actually rather embarrassed
for them and myself. Sorry.

I thought it was a good show!
They might be less professional than the TAPS crew but it benefits them in a few ways, including a more entertaining show.

I usually like the show and am not saying that I will not be entertained and interested in it in the future. Something about the show on Halloween
that just screamed commercialism beyond that of the usual show...and yes I realize that the show is on a major network and is very
commercial......just talking about the special......it's like they had nothing better to do......like locking the fans in the
cells......etc.....filling time.
Anyway....I watch the show often and will continue to do so nonetheless. Good fun....with some jitters.....
