 
A US Navy T-34 carrying two crewmembers went missing approximately 75 miles from NAS Corpus Cristi. They were on a routine training flight when
contact was lost at about 3:20pm local time. The Coast Guard has respnded and is searching for the crew.

The Coast Guard has said that they were notified by the NAS Corpus Cristi control tower 40 minutes after contact was lost with the aircraft. There
were two Instructor Pilots onboard, and they were flying near San Jose Island, approximately two miles offshore. The CG immediately dispatched an
HH-65C, a Falcon jet, and two patrol craft (45 foot and 25 foot), and the Navy was preparing an aircraft to assist with the search.

The Coast Guard has recovered the body of one of the two missing pilots. A floating rig in the area reported something floating near them. They are
still searching for the other pilot`s remains.

The US Navy announced that the found the wreckage of the aircraft approximately 1.5 miles off Matagordo island in 40 feet of water. Divers haven`t
been able to get to the aircraft to see if the body of the missing pilot is with it.
