P.R.E.C.I.S.E.L.Y I'd say there's a 99.999999999% chance ATS has dis-info agents participating in discussions...I mean...it's only logical...and quite a smart move actually..."Bob...check this out....they are catching on...ok...time to spread some dis-info around...just to confuse everyone...and since we know what they know...and what they might do...we'll implement plans that will stop them from getting any closer...it's brilliant Bob"
So that they know what we know? So that the can monitor how much we know? And so that they can maybe sway people's beliefs and opinions?

Are there really "disinfo agents" on ATS and similar sites?
Any time a member of ATS posts a thread that contains a false statement, they become a disinformation agent. In the grand scheme of things, is that any different from what politicians do every time they open their mouths. Given the relatively small number of people that ATS reaches, compared to the MSM, I would think that the government wasting much time on ATS, would be much less productive than planting a few people in positions where the news is selected and edited. It looks like the MSM has all the disinformation agents that the government needs.
Let's be serious about this- Why would the government spend much time on a site where many of the members believe:
1.) The world will end 12/21/2012
2.) The world will end October XX, 2009 fill in any date you want
3.) The world is run by reptilians who have take over human bodies
and any number of wild theories. Don't get me wrong- people have every right to discuss those issues. But do you think the government worries about such topics?

Sometimes i am a disinformation agent.
But only on a few posts.
And only when discussion would affect me and the way i live that i might put out disinformation to protect myself from the weird people that get to close to my vested interests .
Oh i also post disinformation as a joke once in a while.
(this might even be a joke or even disinformation)
Now all anyone has to do is TRY to go to the posts of mine and figure out what is disinformation and what is not.
As i always cover my disinformation with references from web sites that cover my disinformation and since half or more of the information on the Internet is outright bogus or skewed by the source for there own reasons.
Just look a global warming at least 1/2 the information is bogus.
Just try to figure out what half.
I was a debater in high school and learned how to debate any subject from ether side.
If I was I dis info agent I would say the same thing. Over and over and over and---
Even the main stream media types are on here reading these posts and getting an idea of what is being talked about, discussed and debated.
If not by your own government then certainly by others, and I would certainly think by larger corporate entities.
