Sometimes i am a disinformation agent.

But only on a few posts.

And only when discussion would affect me and the way i live that i might put out disinformation to protect myself from the weird people that get to close to my vested interests .

Oh i also post disinformation as a joke once in a while.

(this might even be a joke or even disinformation)

Now all anyone has to do is TRY to go to the posts of mine and figure out what is disinformation and what is not.
As i always cover my disinformation with references from web sites that cover my disinformation and since half or more of the information on the Internet is outright bogus or skewed by the source for there own reasons.

Just look a global warming at least 1/2 the information is bogus.
Just try to figure out what half.

I was a debater in high school and learned how to debate any subject from ether side.

So that they know what we know? So that the can monitor how much we know? And so that they can maybe sway people's beliefs and opinions?
P.R.E.C.I.S.E.L.Y I'd say there's a 99.999999999% chance ATS has dis-info agents participating in discussions...I mean...it's only logical...and quite a smart move actually..."Bob...check this out....they are catching on...ok...time to spread some dis-info around...just to confuse everyone...and since we know what they know...and what they might do...we'll implement plans that will stop them from getting any closer...it's brilliant Bob"

Yes. The disinfo guys are here.
They mainly hang out on the Crop Circle threads.

Any time a member of ATS posts a thread that contains a false statement, they become a disinformation agent. In the grand scheme of things, is that any different from what politicians do every time they open their mouths. Given the relatively small number of people that ATS reaches, compared to the MSM, I would think that the government wasting much time on ATS, would be much less productive than planting a few people in positions where the news is selected and edited. It looks like the MSM has all the disinformation agents that the government needs.
Let's be serious about this- Why would the government spend much time on a site where many of the members believe:
1.) The world will end 12/21/2012
2.) The world will end October XX, 2009 fill in any date you want
3.) The world is run by reptilians who have take over human bodies

and any number of wild theories. Don't get me wrong- people have every right to discuss those issues. But do you think the government worries about such topics?

If I was I dis info agent I would say the same thing.
Over and over and over and---

If there are paid disinformation agents on ATS they do a really crappy job.

There are some people who I believe view themselves as crusaders for certain causes that come off at times like its almost their business. They spend a lot of hours on the site, they always post on the same subjects, and they always try to promote the same opinions and contentions on those subjects whether it's really on topic or not.

It's easy to imagine someone is paying them because they spend so much time and their focus is so singular and is aimed at supporting things that are often circumstantial, highly dubious or out right fictitious.

They do such a pitiful job at it though and often end up doing their supported cause and stance more harm than good.

It they are paid disinformation agents they got the job through nepotism that's for sure.

They can be annoying at times, and at times they try to be annoying. What they are best really at is trying to skirt the bait line. Just close enough to not break Terms and Conditions, just provocative enough to tempt you to want to sometimes in replying to them.

I think there are people in government and intelligence paid to monitor the site, on a random basis especially a few choice topics, but I don’t think they ever jump in to the threads or post but just lurk.

I think there are people who work for government and law enforcement who lurk on the site not because they are being paid but just because they have an interest in what gets said here, but they don’t post because they don’t want the possible consequences of posting on an open forum to get back and damage their career in some place.

I think some people passionate about some subjects who try to promote them get talking points from organizations that recruit volunteers to promote that organizations position.

In my year on ATS I have only encountered one poster claiming to be a concerned Federal Law Enforcement agent who actually structured sentences and had the grammar, syntax and punctuation in his writings that suggested he likely was.

As soon as the situation went away so did they.

The reality is the government has data mining bots to comb through these and every other site looking for certain key words and phrases, patterns and repetitions.

We can talk about conspiracies and the government all day long and preparing for Armageddon or Martial Law but at the end of the day the government knows we are all going to climb in our beds and go to sleep having done nothing about it or anything to change it, and knows we aren’t going to do so tomorrow.

Talk is cheap, and people who talk about things rarely doing anything that they talk about!

Face it people know one cares about us except the stock holders in the aluminum foil companies.

We should send them Christmas Cards!

I'm starting to believe disinfo agents on this site is pure fiction and wishful thinking. I think many of you actually want them in here, but in reality, they might not even be here. Now I could be wrong, but this place offers a plethora of views and perspectives that are so over the top, there is no need for disinformation agents.

They don't need to come to ATS to do any of that. They have the Patriot Act and Homeland Security and have probably been inside of your system without you actually being aware of it. Again, if they want to know what you know, they don't have to come here to check.

If you believe that, then I feel for you, because then there is no one you can trust. Find one thing I have posted that indicates I could be a disinformation agent, and I'll give you a "Get out of FEMA Camp Free" card.

I think we are all disinformation agents to one extent or the other.

We all post dubious information from web sites and postulate wild ass theories as if it is the truth.

As to government or special interest dis info agents on internet forums,of course there are.

Even the main stream media types are on here reading these posts and getting an idea of what is being talked about, discussed and debated.

AHA! That is why the news items are so crazy! I can just see tomorrow's 6 O'Clock news:

"We have it from reliable sources that Barrack Obama was not born in Hawaii, but in fact, was born on Zeta Reticula, and was transported to earth in a rocket, which exceeds the speed of light. His birth certificate was forged, in order to hide the fact that he is actually a Reptilian, and that all of his Czars are also reptilians from Zeta Reticula. In addition, we have been told by that same reliable source that he plans on destroying the Earth on December 21, 2012, by using the CERN to create a black hole, which will eat the earth up. He will return to Zeta Reticula by transporting to Nibiru when it passes earth at the same time. That reliable source also tells us that 9/11 was carried out by a rival group of Zeta Reticulans, who oppose Obama. That rival group of Reptilians are right-handed, unlike the OBama Reptilians, who are left-handed. We understand that both groups are trying to harvest all of the natural resources of earth before 12/21/2012, so that they can replenish the resources of Nibiru, which were depleted by the rival race of shape-shifters, led by George Bush and his son George W. Bush. We understand that the Bush Reticulans wish to return to Mars, to the secret bases that exist there, according to those same reliable sources.
More to follow at 11....... "

Disinfo Agent: Someone who disagrees with your point of view, to which you cannot intelligently counter.

That's generally the definition of a disinfo agent on ATS anyway.

I believe the point of this thread is not about all the concepts that are brought to this board all day everyday from… God is a lesbian, to The Devil Is Our friend.... To 90% of All Human's Are Aliens, to 100% are purely Human. The point of this thread I believe is this...

Here in the United States, these disinfo agents are simply here to enforce governmental policy and what our current administration is trying to shove down the throats of the American people. And if you come out against… what this current governments demands we give them control over... these paid 'disinfo' agents are hard at work trying to tear down anyone who makes a valid point… and then that username runs away, yet a day later a new person with the same disrespect shows up and types the same type of nonsense!

What these disinfo agents have not figure out yet is, that only works on socialist websites by those who blindly follow hateful rhetoric... on sites like this one, most people demand you backup what you say with facts and not just your own opinion.... Because if you have been on this site for more then a few days, you know opinions are all over the map... Not to mention ATS proves that old saying about opinions being stinky and sometimes just as dirty.

So disinfo agents in this sense, are strictly those who care nothing about what is being said, all they care about is… there man in office gets what he wants... civility, decorum, facts, our country and the Constitution be damned.

And I know I have seen a lot of that going on, not only on this site but others I frequent... The good news is people are not falling for that hateful nonsense any more because this government calls everyone who disagrees with them a terrorists or a racist. So... if you pay attention you will find those who are either being paid or those who are blind followers/hardcore socialist, regardless of what they are... each are just as deadly to our freedoms.

Honestly.

It would not make any sense for there NOT to be.

And I dont mean this because this is a conspiracy forum where ultra super truths are revealed.

But because it is true that people are sheep. And anyone with a large scale agenda, be it governement or corporate, would be reminiss if they did not have agents of manipulation working via such sites.

Any site that has a reasonably large user base becomes prone to such manipulation. If not by your own government then certainly by others, and I would certainly think by larger corporate entities.

That second point above is a real likelihood, even more so, than the government "agents". There is no doubt in my mind that there are lobbyists on ATS that have been involved in threads, such as those involving Genetically Modified Crops. Certain topics lend themselves to much more reasonable gain on the part of such people.

*sarcasm* Of course there aren't disinfo agents here. This has been debunked so many times at ATS it's getting tedious. Sheesh. Ever heard of a search button? Deny ignorance *sarcasm*

Seriously though. It wouldn't be surprising at all if there were disinformation agents - in fact it seems quite obvious if you've been around for a while.. Although, of course at one point in my search for truth, I honestly believed that anyone who disagreed with my idea of the 'truth' was spreading disinformation or was some sort of government agent.

You can put a mountain of evidence in front of someone and unless they are prepared to accept an alternative reality or truth, they will never accept that evidence as proof, no matter how obvious.

Being a 'truther'and saying that 9/11 was an inside job is simply not acceptable to some in the community and never will be, even though these people are definitely not government agents (eg some friends, family etc).

On the otherhand, telling some truthers that I believe there is absolutely no evidence of a flyover at the Pentagon appears to cause more heartache, accusations and in-fighting than finding the real truth is really worth.

All I know is that we have been lied to for many many decades and something needs to be done about it. No disinfo agents can change that fact.

In the end, we all have free will (at least until the government tries to outlaw it), and can use our brains to filter out what we believe and what we reject. If there are agents, they cannot force you to believe anyone. I'm sure most of you check out multiple sources, and use common sense when you read something that is posted. Anyone that doesn't deserves to be fooled.
