How about now that it's Obama's Quagmire? Just curious.

Hey, if you cut the blue out of the map, that map kind of looks like the Edgar Cayce map of the world after the great event that puts part of the USA under water. I guess God really does hate Liberals.

Keep up half of the worlds military expenditure? Why? Who cares?

Apparently the red states do. Military expenditure is one of the important parts of most voters in the red states. Considering that military expenditure is in the $100's of billions I dont see how the red states are going to continue to feed the military industrial complex they continue to advocate for.

Do you seriously think that if the red states were to break apart they'd follow a libertarian regime? seriously?

Let the world police their own garbage.

Where do you think the red states have been on this topic for the last administration?

You see, along with DC,

We'll keep DC, and the rightwing can take most of the garbage that has infested DC with em. Im sure the lobbyists will have a good ol' time setting up shop in Austin. They won't like the new regulations up north.

Just some fun facts folks, by 2050 over half of texas will be none white. Maybe this will test the meaning of what it means to be Texan. Most hispanics are conservative though... although that never stopped discrimmination in the south.

[edit on 27-10-2009 by Southern Guardian]

He're is a fun fact for you. A large portion of the people who fought for freedom from Mexico and WON....were ........wait for it........

Yes! Mexicans.

Ta daaaa!

If Mexico took a shot at owning Texas and bringing all of the lovely things to Texas that Mexican Americans are running away from, do you think that the Mexican American population would want them in charge of Texas? Get a clue. Mexicans are leaving Mexico because they DON"T want to be under the rule of the Mexican government.

I'm pretty sure most of them wouldn't want to be in blue states either.

-----------------------

As far as your 'discrimination in the south' remark goes, it's a load.

Yeah, there are some racists down south. They are a very small minority of the population but we know who they are because they say it out loud.

Up north discrimination and racism are quite prevalent and very deeply entrenched. The funny thing is that most of them give lip service to equality and talk trash about the south being a bunch of racists but when they are not in 'mixed' company they show their true colors.

They make a show of being open minded and enlightened. They smile at you and then turn around and call you something they would never say to your face.

I grew up in Texas and was suprised at the vehement racism that I saw in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Conneticut, Rhode Island, Vermont and Ohio. These folks walked the 'holier than thou-southerners are racists-walk' but they talked some seriously racist talk.

This hypocricy is all over the place up there; especially in all of those small, picturesque, Norman Rockwell, predominantly white communities. Yeah. There are a LOT of those. They smile and vote left but petition for stricter zoning to keep the riff-raff out.

Just ask minorities that grew up in the north and then moved down south. Many of them will tell you that it wasn't what they expected and that they wouldn't go back to the racism that is going on in the northern states.

Down here they know who to avoid. Up there the racists are mostly two faced.

The racists up north point their fingers a lot and look down their noses at the south but quite frankly, most of them are the "NIMBY" rights activist types.

"Racism" it's not just a southern stereotype. It's a northern reality.

The blue states can keep those folks as well.

Id rather live in a purple state. Keep in mind not everyone who lives in a so called blue state is liberal and not everyone who lives in a so called red state is conservative. I think you would find it is almost even in most cases.

The odd thing about this post is this.

The conservative/Republican states were not always depicted on maps as red and liberal/Democrat as blue.

It was reversed for a long time. Republican party was traditionally blue and the Democratic party was red.

One of the network news organizations(NBC maybe) changed it for one of the Presidential elections and the others followed suit.

I guess they did not want people associating the social Democrats with Socialists,Marxists, Communists, Maoists or any other RED organizations and philosophies.

Can't trust the main stream media.

I received a similar e-mail from a liberal co-worker after the 2004 election. I e-mailed him back a map of the 50 states that showed how each county voted - it was almost all red - the only bits that were blue were the major cities and in some circumstances a few counties in the outlying areas. It shut him up very quickly.

Exports!

One thing, though: based on their financial history, I strongly suggest we have a 'no credit - no cash - barter only' policy when selling to the blue states.

That includes food too.

Red vs Blue blah blah blah

Everyone has different opinions on every subject u can think of. I doubt most voters agree with every view of any party and that's why politics are crap. All you guys that fight about this junk do nothing but pigeon hole every citizen of America. You assume everyone in your party thinks just like you and will agree with all the stupid ideas the leaders and vocal minority of your party come up with and believe the same about those in the party you hate.

You people will argue with each other for all of eternity and never accomplish anything. You'll yell and scream as loud as you can hoping to convince the morons out there who can't decide anything on their own that your ideas are better.

Why do you guys do this? Its pointless and futile.

I don't get it...

This is just a spin off of this;
officerresource.com...

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters,
We've stuck together since the late 1950s, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know that we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and just will not ever agree on what's right. So let's just end it right now while we can do it on friendly terms. We can smile, shake hands, chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and each go our own way.
So here's a model separation agreement.
Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by land mass, each taking a portion. That's going to be the difficult part, but I'm sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy. Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate taste. We don't like redistributive taxes so you can have those. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. And since you hate guns and you hate war, we'll take the firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell. But you are going to be responsible for finding a biodiesel vehicle big enough to haul them around.
We'll keep the capitalism, the greedy corporations, the pharmaceutical companies; we will keep Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have the homeless, the homeboys, the hippies and illegal aliens. We will keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, the greedy CEOS and all of the rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and we'll let you have NBC and Hollywood.
You can be nice to Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer anybody that threatens us. You can have the peaceniks and the war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we will provide them with security. You won't have to worry about it. We will keep our Judeo-Christian values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley Maclaine. You can also have the UN, but we will no longer pay the bill.
We will keep the SUVs, the pickup trucks and the oversize luxury cars. You can have the compacts, the subcompacts and every Subaru station wagon you can find. You can give everybody healthcare, if you can find any practicing doctors. We will continue to believe that healthcare is a privilege and not a right. We will keep "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and the national anthem, and I am sure you will be happy to substitute in their place "Imagine." I'd like to teach the world to sing "Kumbaya" or "We are the world." We will practice trickle-down economics and you can give trickle-up poverty your best shot. And since it so offends you, we will keep our history, our name and our flag.
Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along other like-minded liberal and conservative patriots. And if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the friendly spirit of parting, I'll bet you ANWAR which one of us will need whose help in about 15 years.

Two words...Oil Refineries....

How much do you "Blue States" expect you'll have to pay us for your fuel?

Oh, and what about the mass exodus of free-loaders, from the Red to the Blue, who will flee the horrors of hard work and contribution to society?

Quick, someone get me out of California.
Any independent states out there? No? Maybe those of us that hate both parties can agree on our own state to take over.
