4000.
Then, in the next session, I tackled geography and racked up another 180 in about 45 minutes.
The the almost 2 y.o. on youtube would have had a better chance! (so cute)

www.youtube.com...

Anyway, it's a great cause.

That's great, Elfie!

I wish I could give you a star, but suddenly I can't.
It seems this thread has been moved to BTS...
Not worthy enough to stay on the ATS main board, I assume?

Live and learn... :shk:

No, you were right! And I was that person.

See? You DO see too much!

I guess not...
And this apparently does not belong on the ATS Education forum, either.

Knock me over with a feather...

So the starving half of the world doesn't qualify for a conspiracy. Thems the breaks.

Where are all of the world hunger helpers? It only takes a few minutes and it's educational, too!

Good question, Elfie.

I guess they are at ATS, as usually.
Which is why I believed, and still do, this thread belong there - not here.
this is not about "interesting websites": it is a very real "alternative" way of teaching/learning.

Anyway, I just wanted to say I've stumbled upon a totally new batch of pictures in the ART section!
(I mean, how many Pisarros can you go through until you start throwing up...?
)

I completely agree with you, it goes beyond interesting. It's a great thread, it's informative, and one that offers a solution to such a devastating problem in the world. ATS would be a better exposure for such a pressing need.

(Mind you I donate to Oxfam, as well). Being able to contribute while learning at the same time is a very unique approach that deserves attention!

Have added another 2,500 + to the stores.

Thanks, I will look into the ART. (I could do with a little more BTS knowledge). Pissaro's okay -- similar to Renoir, for me at least. I prefer Monet, Manet, Degas, Gauguin, George Inness, John Singer Sargent, Klimt, Kandinsky...more for the other thread.

Now there is a free toolbar available (for Firefox and IE only).

(There wasn't one only a few days ago. See what impact you people have?!

Yay! How are you doing? Still quite a challenge here. Which is your favorite subject?

Love the art section, I didn't even notice it before Vanitas mentioned it. Thought it was BTS Art she was discussing. lol

Okay. Some quick calculations based on info from the FreeRice.com site:

1 gram = 48 grains of rice
28.34 grams = 1 ounce = 1360.32 grains of rice
16 ounces = 1 pound = 21765.12 grains of rice

I've just won 500 grains of rice for grammar
100 for geography
600 for art

It's very late and I have to stop now. I'll have another go tomorrow.
