Very good article BTW but it is really pointing out the inevitable end of an era of illusion. The inevitable end of an era which would've occurred
with Obama or not.
It clearly states " Collapse of an Illusion" which is what our American Dream really was.
It was an Illusion of prosperity built upon borrowing and not by producing.
Borrowing from the rest of the world to fuel the illusion of wealth.
The license to print money out of thin air and lend it out to Americans to spend and consume.
The inflation inherent in Our worthless Dollar made our products too expensive forcing production and jobs over seas but creating more profits for the
stockholders.
The greed of padding the pockets of the stock holders instead of focusing on quality products drove GM and Chrysler to bankruptcy long before
Obama.
Not building the Eastern European Missile Shield would have only lined the pockets of the wealthy weapons purveyors over at the Carlyle Group.
As Americans are losing their jobs and homes , you can guarantee that the wealthy have no concerns about losing theirs. Aren't they rich enough ?
We should use the money for the missile shield to repair our bridges and roads here back at home. Creating more jobs.
