Nobody's trying to ruin it for you.
I just explained why I don't celebrate it. If that makes you uncomfortable, tough. My reasons for not celebrating it are as valid as yours are for
enjoying it.

Thanksgiving is a harvest festival, nothing more. It was a way to give thanks for a great harvest which supplied the bountiful feast that they would
eat. It really has nothing to do with Native Americans.

I'm a mixed breed. LOL French, Irish, and Indian. When I look at the past, I see the tragedy of the natives, and know those times were
horrendous. There is no denying the horrors of those times. Just how much would an apolgy mean to the indians now? Yes they deserve one of course, but
would it matter after all that was done, after all these years? I don't know.
I have often wondered what things may have been like had the indians kept their land. I still would have wanted to come here from another country, to
live amongst those who revered nature and lived off the land with respect, appreciation and wonder. I taught myself how to do beadweaving! It's
awesome!!!! Ok, off topic. Sorry.
