Apparently Pelosi isn't happy with controlling the bulk of media. She now wants to stop Fox from covering Congressional
sesions. Pelosi . So now ANYONE who dissents is to be silenced.... Someone needs to remove that crazy woman from her
position. Ignorant and self defeating this line of thought takes us...but she is in her ivory tower and doesn't care.
Oct. 23, 2009 12:43 PM. This just in from Speaker of the House Pelosi. In an interview with MSNBC's Keith Olberman last night, Nancy Pelosi
announced that she would move to bring a vote to the floor of The House of Representatives as early as next week to ban Fox from covering Congress.
"That Fox regularly grants access to Republican Congressman to spread their lies and propaganda on their airwaves is a violation of the public trust,
and their continued desire to challenge such well documented facts as Global Warming, and the efficacy of single payer health insurance, proves that
they are simply doing the work of the special interests. They should thus be stripped of their journalistic access in the halls of Congress," argued
Pelosi.

I watched a couple of shows on Fox this weekend and I saw a few Democrats also spreading their own lies and propaganda as well.

God i hate that woman ... if she can even be called that... i doub shes even human.
Everything she does is a contradiction. Healthcare to cover the poor on the backs of the poor, cleaning up the bay area near her husbands property,
Lying about knowing how people were being tortured... Everything she does is just a sham

I will reserve speculation and commentary until this can be verified. I'm looking for a video right now.

This never actually happened.

Original Source
It's a joke article about fictional events in the future, and the geniuses at OP's source took it seriously.
Pelosi would have to be insane to propose such a vote, although I wouldn't put it past her. However, this is entirely fictional and the title should
be edited or given the [hoax] tags to reflect such.

Actually this is the source of the source:
www.hughhewitt.com...
I can't even find a transcript of this from MSNBC.
Edit to add:
I had a suspicion that this would be a hoax.

They're all the same BS.
Is it just me, or do all the MSM anchors look like car salesmen/women trying to sell you some BS. They all have that conniving/lustful look.. ready to
pounce on the poor sucker(s) willing to buy into what they're feeding you. I mean, who believes anything they say, they look so fake and cheesy I can
hardly stomach it.

More bad news for Fox News ..... sort of.

I looked at every date from the 20th to the 25th(today) and could find nothing. Not even in the MSNBC transcript archive. I
think it is sad and infuriating that, with as much crap as we've come to expect from this and past government, that people still feel the need to
make stuff up. Really? I mean REALLY?! I don't trust these people either, but they've done enough without having to invent more crap for people to
potentially take seriously.
What if some one reads this and takes it as their cue to start shooting politicians? It's not that I can't see this brand of liberals doing such a
thing, just as I could see the right doing this to MSNBC, but if it's not happening why lie about it? Do people not realize that their words come
with responsibility?

I had to make another post in this ridiculous thread to point something out-
The OP's "quote" of the story has the date changed from the (future) date of October 28th, to October 23rd.
Here's where things get interesting. In OP's source, the date is not given. In the original source, it is given as the 28th. So, I am assuming OP
noticed the date was set for the future, realized the story was fictional, and decided to edit the date and post the story as fact, regardless.
What's the deal, djvexd?
This is negligent at best, and purposefully misleading at worst. You should be ashamed of yourself for posting what you clearly knew was a hoax, in
what I can only assume is an underhanded attempt to gain stars/flags/recognition or start ANOTHER pointless left-right war. (Yes, I am aware this is
the correct board for those threads).
This sort of thing brings ATS down, and shows first hand what sort of steps people like you will take to spread divisive misinformation. Everyone
should take a page out of Projectvxn and Elostone's books, here.

It is a satirical article from Hugh Hewitt's web site. I am glad I researched this before I jumped on the bandwagon. Still, it doesn't seem entirely
out of character for TPTB to do something like this. Would it really surprise anyone? Maybe author Lee Habib should be careful about giving them any
more ideas.

I wonder what effect reinstating the fairness doctrine would have on this argument?
Yes I realize this is a hoax, but if the fairness doctrine were reinstated would we see more threads like this?

correction:
Putting your finger in your ears and screaming LA LA LA LA at the top of your lungs is not dissension. It's childish and immature, and has no place
there.
Let them ban Fox Noise.
It's not news. It never has been.
Even when Bush was in office, all it ever came to be was a talking point.
Some old man's dream come true to spread hate and racism.
Bottom line.
Im no fan of Pelosi - not by a long shot - but i gotta admit, im glad they're doing this.
Some times, you just gotta make them shut up.

Um... did anyone happen to check out the link source of the information? Check out this
link.
Now, if you look carefully, you may notice that this "news item" is dated for October 28, 2009. Now, anywhere on this planet, that date is in the
future (it's only 4:00 AM CST on 10/26/09 as I write this). So this "news" is dated for this coming Wednesday. Does anyone find this even a
teensy bit suspicious?
Moving right along, further down there is another news item, dated December of this year:
Dec. 9, 2009 8:03 AM. This just in from Adrian Fenty, the Mayor of Washington DC.
Mayor Adrian Fenty has given The Fox News Washington DC bureau 48 hours to clear out of it's offices on 400 North Capitol Street, or face fines and
arrests. "Fox News doesn't belong in this town given it's inherent desire to question government's motive and intentions at every turn. Jobs
and budgets are on the line, and I am compelled to invoke local police powers to eliminate a public hazard from our good city," wrote Fenty on
today's Daily Kos. "They should set up shop somewhere where people believe what they believe, like somewhere in Texas."
.
People, you've got to check out your sources before getting all worked up. *ESPECIALLY* if something sounds exactly like you've always suspected or
believed. There's a good chance it's satire or nonsense.
Check your facts. It's not that difficult. All I had to do was click on a link and I was taken directly to the silly page.
