Why would you like abusive behavior to be allowed to go unchecked?

Since the forum warning, Truth has not engaged in any insults.

And in Freemason's case, we deviated from the posted warning (instant ban for abuse) and voted on his banning because of his forum stature. We were as fair as is possible, including communicating to him what it will take to eventually return.

ok, i'm not good at math, so in this case im going on language semantics, it seems you 2 were arguing 2 different things, in part, Freemason was right, Winston was arguing that the Babylonian 666 = our 21966
what Freemason was saying was that the Babylonian 116 = our 666

it sounds logical enough when i look at the math, I dont think that's what's in the bible, as already stated Babylonian was dead, but the math of what he's saying looks correct (From an outsiders point of view, i'm not good at math at all) I think he just got frustrated because nobody was listening to him when he was trying to tell you that you were arguing 2 different things

Why would he consider the site as any type of government? This isn't a democracy, simon and the admins run the site. We are priviledged to be here in the first place

We share the same opinion. FM started to be nervous because Winston wasn't understanding him (FM) and was trying to say that FM was thinking that he ( FM ) was far superior to him ( Winston ).

Here my equation :

Winston don't understand FM + Winston write that FM is pedant + FM is not happy and write that he's not happy = FM banned.

I say, let FM return

Although I voted for FM to stay, i don't think he should be invited again, after all, poll result turned out to be 2:1 against him.

FreeMason has been warned before.Some Members might remember threads about him being banned from another site.He has Williams E-Mail Address.I'm sure given a little time Mods and Admin may consider re-admitting him.
I almost sense the wish of some members to find some kind of lack of integrity amongst the Mods and Admin since the "Take back ATS"campaign started.This is not it.William appears to be bending over backwards to answer members questions on this issue.
From my own experience of this board only once has a Mod acted wrongly and he was criticised for it.There are active members who were banned on this board.There are also members who are banned and who will never be welcome again.Ultimately it is the descision of Mods and Admin to decide.
I have been happy with the results so far of the "Take back ATS"campaign it seems to have concentrated minds on what this forum is all about.I hope after a short break F-M will re-join us.

PS,I looked at the thread on 666 and didn't understand what anybody was talking about but Winston appeared to be stating his case with more authority even if F-M had more conviction.

Not mentioning any names but also a mod was stripped of his mod status so Mods are not immune to criticism that member now contributes as well as anyone.

People, FM reapetedly(sp?) called millions stupid because they didn't agree with him. He went out of his way to piss people off. That is why he was banned.

And this is a dictartorship with Simon, William, and Bob as head dicts!(it's a joke! this isn't a dictatorship, it's just the top people cracking down) And if any of you get mad about my head dict joke, tell me or edit it. If he had posted porn material or was being a pain with repeated posts with the intent to hurl abuse at everyone then a ban may be in order. But FM didn't do any of these. I'm sorry to have to say this and it breaks my heart having too but this site is becoming a Dictatorship.

Rule's are rule's. You knowingly break them, you suffer the consequences. If the mods were to bend the rule's for one person, they'd have to bend them for everyone making the rules pointless. I know ... It sucks when you say f*** the rules ....

1) Hey, wanting to know why a member is banned and writing that we are or are not agree with his bannishment is normal.

2) In the future, if you're banned too, and you ask for some help,I'll not forget to recall you this post !

P.S : I don't agree with FM bannishment because I don't understand why he's banned. I didn't find any abusive comment on his post. May be it's a lack on english tongue understanding, it's also possible, but I don't think so.

And for the board where he has been banned before, I know almost 90% of the ATS users would be banned if they were posting on this board.

UP, your telling me you didn't see ANY of the insult's he flung around despite board rule's? When you post on a puplic forum, there are going to be some people who will disagree with what you say. He didn't take this aspect very well, and blew up on some people, including me. It wasn't just the religion board, it was also the science and technology, and there was even a few rude comment's by him in one of the other board's (forget name and thread ). Anywho, the rule's ARE being enforced, he broke them, he got punished because of it. If the mod's were to let him get by they'd have to let everyone get by. This would make nearly every rule in place pointless.

Point being, he broke the rule's and got his punishment. He's been warned beforehand yet he gave two crap's. He got what was comming.
