I swore to myself if nothing big happens today, I am going back to sleep. I am so tired of being afraid everyday. I want to go back to thinking about good things!!

I heard that, and don't buy it. They are moving waaaaay too fast shredding the constitution right now to put it off for 2 years. Could be disinfo, or the guy telling him this might think that he's living in July, 2007.

Well, you could be right on that. There are quite a few facistic executive orders that grants the president dictatorial powers during a national emergency. The swine flu is now considered a national emergency.

Some of these have been on the books for quite some time.

dude stop it.

it seems you are desperately hoping that something bad actually happens around the world. why... just so some lame and pathetic thread can be validated?
when was the last time someone predicted the future? do you rationally think someone can see the future? god.

Cnn is running 2 cover stories, one about Afganistan and 14 guys duying in a chopper, the other one, taking up half the front page, about men's clothes.

I can't find the money news even ON the front page, and aren't we in a financial crisis?

Didn't China say something about we'd know how bad it was by how bad they tried to cover it up/deny it?

If THAT is the case, the dollar must be tanking and it must be pretty darn bad.

if you dont like it, dont post, you dont even have to be an ATS member... nobody is hoping for anything, this thread is simply monitoring the news for anything that could be considered worthy of the V in the TWZ or the predictions made in webbot or any of the other hype made by several sources... chill..

No doom yet, checking News Updates every 10 minutes or so. Stocks are slightly down, hovering just under -100 points for the day.

I will keep checking though as there are numerous theories floating around as to what is supposed to happen within this timetable.

ignorance seems blissfull. novelty. novelty. the novelty could have slipped right past you. it could have already happened. i dont think it is a world changing event in everybodies face. mybe someone had an idea, and started spreading their idea. mybe that idea has very bad implications down the road. missing the novelty date.

did ariel sharon really wake up?

is this not in correlation with 1942 and the manhattan project? im not sure.
what happened on the novelty date we are currently in correlation with? and the time before that?

It seems to me that a fair amount of posts on this thread people telling other people they basically need an attitude readjustment and to stop overreacting, putting points of view across blah blah blah......

If you cant bring anything constructive, leave.
If you can, can we please get back on to the subject?

regarding the Banks etc, we have had no issues over her in the UK....

Whatever dude, your post made absolutely no sense, like a lot of the meaningless post on here. This board has been populated by members who have nothing to do than claim they have all the answers.

I have been on here a lot longer than you. I can can remember when people posted threads on here that were rooted in some basic facts and not something they conjured up on there Parker Brothers Ouija board in their bedroom at grandma's house.

Turn off your blacklight, get a clue and stop trying to make something out of nothing.

ATS has become tiresome. Everyone on here that sees a plane at night thinks it is an UFO, hears a noise at night thinks it is a ghost or thinks they are being watched by the goverment...and never have one shred of evidence.

From what I gather on the timewave graph, the dip actually occurs at around 5pm today.

It will be interesting to see how this corresponds with the stock market or end of the day news.

My friends over in the TWZ thread have suggested (many times now) that instead of an Economic Issue, it may be a natural event as this is something that is supposed to affect a large number of people. Now, realize that an event triggered does not necessarily mean that the event is a negative one. We tend to naturally look at it that way though.

That being said, look at this story. Not saying anything that it will happen or that I am betting on it, but hear me out.

Controversial study suggests vast magma pool under Washington state

By Les Blumenthal, McClatchy Newspapers – Mon Oct 26, 6:00 am ET
WASHINGTON -- A vast pool of molten rock in the continental crust that underlies southwestern Washington state could supply magma to three active volcanoes in the Cascade Mountains -- Mount St. Helens , Mount Rainier and Mount Adams -- according to a new study that's causing a stir among scientists.
The study, published Sunday in the magazine Nature Geoscience, concluded that the magma pool among the three mountains could be the "most widespread magma-bearing area of continental crust discovered so far."

Many of the non-economic theories I have been hearing have dealt with natural disasters. Many have suggested that seismic activity resulting in a mega-earthquake seem likely due to increased fault line seismic activity. If this story holds true, you get enough pressurized magma by a fault line and when that mega-earthquake occurs, you could theoretically see a situation with Magma spewing out like crazy.

Disclaimer on story: This story is a THEORY and one that is very controversial. I am not putting my eggs in a basket saying this is fact and will happen, just a possibility that is slightly different than everyones concurring argument that the dollar will die or the vast amount of name calling going on in this thread.

Now, imagine if there are two massive underground volcanoes in the US? This new speculated one under Washington State and the Yellowstone one. Those would be two nasty ka-blooies

One of the brazilian`s cable news station, had a piece of 20min. discussion about our national soccer championship (-.-), followed by another 10 min story on a new law (reduction of legal penalties for small-time drug dealers). And voice overs about the bombings in bagdad, the pakistani offensive and yesterday`s riots in jerusalem. That`s the noon edition.

From time to time i zapped to cnn and it seemed to be, also, more of the same (yesterday`s news). Even bloomberg (brazilian edition) mentioned nothing about dowjones` midday plunge).

as i said before: the grown ups won`t let us know what they`ve been simmering...

Okay, here's something "constructive". Hundreds of Barclays Bank customers in U.K. are currently (ie now) experiencing trouble carrying out transactions and withdrawing money from ATMs.

There, fuel for the fire...

There is a very possible outcome. A lof the Webbot and other reports get certain words and from there it is interpretation. Cliff and Co. are merely making inferences when they compile their reports. I recommend everyone take it with a grain of salt, yet at the same time not discredit every word they say.

I hope this all passes and we all look silly for even speculating

I don't think one can be considered silly for speculating at possibilities. To me the opposite is true, those that refuse to speculate at possibilities even based on theories are trapped in ideology of the world in which they think they live. When something happens they will say, "Nobody could have known or thought about this." Because in their mind the possibility never existed with concrete facts.

Yep, thats what I was saying back on page 14. And now Bloomberg isnt reporting. I find this all strange for a monday morning and the markets going down (not tanking yet) and the banks all shut down at the same time over the weekend and now the atms are having trouble overseas and yes our mountains have always been ready to blow at any minute. is there any pattern here?
