Missing Missouri Girl Found Dead

Sad news....just ran across this:

Tragic end to search for missing Mid-Missouri girl A somber day in Mid-Missouri. Recent events gave many high hopes in the search for a missing Jefferson City area girl with recent memories of the Missouri Miracle rescue of Shawn Hornbeck and Ben Ownby and the May rescue of 3-year-old Joshua Childers who wandered in the Missouri Woods for more than 2 days. But today brought no miracle...... only heart wrenching news from Cole County. 9-year-old Elizabeth Olten, who vanished Wednesday night, was found murdered in woods not far from her home. A juvenile "person of interest" is in custody. Cole County Sheriff Greg White says the juvenile and Olten were acquainted. White would not give any details about the person of interest except to say the individual lived in the area west of Jefferson City and was older than Elizabeth.

This is always scary news and so sad for the family.

You never know if the minor in question is the killer but if he is not then the murder is still on the loose.

I have looked at stas for convicted killers, or more like psycopathic killers, and if you break it down by state there is at least 5 per state.

It is important to simply remain aware and do safety meeting with your little ones from time to time, not scare tactic type but reality checks from time to time.

I remember an Oprah once where she met with specialists and did a show where Moms let their children be abducted just to show how easy it is done.

Time is going to go really fast as we near 2012 and some mentally ill could buy into the whole fear ticket and go crazy hurting others in the process.

God Bless the little girl, all we can pray is that her time came swift.
