If the state of our global mess started with previous generations, then why call up ghosts for answe

The truth is many people - whether secretly or openly - blame the previous generation(s) for most of their personal problems and the current socio-political disasters. If so, why would we ever think that talking to the ghosts of the departed could ever bring us wisdom and guidence?
Perhaps we should hope and pray that they haven't stuffed-up the afterlife too by the time we get there!

From outside the US, I wonder, would it be a good thing if any future President channeled Ronald Raegan for advice, or Woodrow Wilson? Or would it be rude to ask George Washington: "Is it true you never told a lie, and how do we know we can believe that?"
