The truth is many people - whether secretly or openly - blame the previous generation(s) for most of their personal problems and the current
socio-political disasters. If so, why would we ever think that talking to the ghosts of the departed could ever bring us wisdom and guidence?
Perhaps we should hope and pray that they haven't stuffed-up the afterlife too by the time we get there!
"hello welcome to heaven, please take a number. your call will be answered in the order it came in. your soul is important to us, please stay in the
line."
"whoops, heaven closed to to massive over capitlisation and a collapse in the price of teh heaven $$"
From outside the US, I wonder, would it be a good thing if any future President channeled Ronald Raegan for advice, or Woodrow Wilson? Or would it be
rude to ask George Washington: "Is it true you never told a lie, and how do we know we can believe that?"
