Obama is a figurehead, he is a puppet just like every other president. Look beyond the teleprompter man to the guys behind the curtain.

OH I agree, Then we have to consider the fact that Obama is a willing puppet.

So his willingness, calls his character into question.

It seems like no matter what, the man can do no good, its like if he cured cancer everyone would be like "pfff....i guess, but what about aids?". He made these promises, as a country you obviously wanted them to be kept, hence electing them. So, your getting what you asked/elected for. You can't take the effect and make it the cause.

Pretty speech. But it's useless. The Republic is cowed. Americans are indeed cowards. They bitch and moan about things they do not or cannot control. Alex Jones whines nonsensically, Glen Beck rants uncontrollably. Each poking at a blob, an enigma that controls us all.

Sadly each and every one of us are indeed slaves. Slaves to the system. Slaves to what they want, when they want it.

Don't fool yourself with party politics. Its just a game to keep the weak in line bickering against each other instead of facing the true enemy.

I learned recently, through the endless debate over whether or not Obama really is a citizen or not that it's just a tactic. Just another piece of tripe they throw at the dogs to keep them distracted.

The truth is, it doesn't matter who is in charge, who is in power in congress. It all boils down to the same exact thing. This country is gone, not is going, but is gone, we are slaves to the system, we are all just pawns in their stupid game to keep us occupied while they do what they want and without our consent or input. Think about it, when is the last time you actually got a personal letter from your representative for something you wrote to them.

That is of course if you bother to write to your representatives at all. (honestly how many of you actually take the time and call or write you representatives in Washington or your State and tell them what you think of an issue?)

Those who don't are hypocrites, you have failed to keep up with at least your end of the bargain. Those of you who don't at least write your representatives and tell them what you think are just whiners who don't deserve the republic you have already lost.

At least those of us who participate regularly in this have something to complain about. We know our representatives don't care, but we try anyway because it is our right and duty as Americans to make our voices heard.

But who drowns out those voices? The lobbyists. The ones with money to spend and influence our representatives and make them do what they want.

And they spend money on you too. They spend money on adds on TV telling you what to believe and you all come on ATS spreading their version of the truth. You use their talking points. You spread their lies without researching for yourself what is really the truth.

some of those 48 things are questionable, but he did not deserve the peace prize (not like it had any validity after kissinger won it), school children should not be singing songs to elected leaders period. they are public servants not our masters.

obama also is carrying the torch for bush in these illegal wars and he deserves to be criticized for it.

if you do something wrong, or you lie, or you deliberately manipulate people for your own gain, or gain on behalf of those who arent accountable to the american people, you damn sure deserve to be critisized for it!

every president will do something right. Clinton got through the FMLA (family medical leave act) but allowed the repeal of glass steagal. its all a means to an end, and anyone who has been paying attention to facts and history will realize that obama is not going to change anything for the better. his whole cabinet is composed of the worst people in government since carter. he allowed bernanke to have another term!

he continues to support israeli war crimes, while claiming iran to be in violation of the law, when in reality the US in in violation of article 4 of the NPT.

Does it really surprise you that Obama lied, come on all of them lie. The only difference is this time around they have a young, articulate, educated and charismatic man hypnotising the people.

I agree with your whole statement there. Much of what is you said is in a way that I may have even worded it myself. Great job and great mind. It is bickering battle they (the elite) have great with the media sector of their ability cuz fighting and anger amoungst ourselves. Fact is there are many people who do want the best for the country and they believe Man can bring this. Unfortunetely man fails. History is grim, sad, unfaithful and bloody. Trust in God, and you will survive the fate of flesh and live eternally. There isnt much of anything left on earth to have hope in.

I'm just going to answer this one because it's a perfect example of the unfair criticism that comes down on Obama. I'm not saying they're all unfair. Many are fair. But if FOX News reports it, you should decide to look further.

Over 30 years ago, Holdren co-wrote a textbook about Ecoscience. In it, MANY solutions to overpopulation were discussed. From one extreme to the other. Just to cover all the possibilities. Forced sterilization was the furthest extreme. Holdren did not advocate it. Just the opposite, he actually recommended "the use of milder methods of influencing family size preferences".

But FOX News read that and ran with it. And so now we have people claiming that Obama wants forced abortions! It's insane.

It would be like me writing a book to explore all options for remedying the problem of unwanted pets. THe chapters might look like this:

1. Spay Neuter programs
2. Providing prisons with dogs
3. Taxes for shelters so they don't have to kill the animals
4. Mandatory Spay Neuter of 90% of the pets
5. Euthanasia of all unwanted animals

So, then FOX comes along and says, "BH is suggesting mass euthanasia as the way to deal with the unwanted pets in the US"!
