Obama is a figurehead, he is a puppet just like every other president. Look beyond the teleprompter man to the guys behind the curtain.

OH I agree, Then we have to consider the fact that Obama is a willing puppet.

So his willingness, calls his character into question.

Yet I believe he is following because these are his own ideologies as well.

Just point out some good things Obama has done.

I don't understand why people ask other ATS members for the good (or bad) things Obama has done when they're easily accessible on the Internet. If you're really curious, FIND OUT! Don't ask other ATS members to do your work for you.

1. Obama Signs Law Ending Budget Delays for Veterans Care

Here are 48 more

How many of these 49 actions actually came under the established budget? How many of these 49 actions are placing us in a deficit? I suppose he really never promised to take this country back to fisical responsibility, and accountability.

If he is just the man in front of the curtain, isn't it time for him to"fess up"?
Let the people know the truth, about who actually runs the country. The office of President is as much an office of trust as it is an executive endeavor. The people deserve the truth!!

Yea and that is going to happen.

The "office of trust" left during the Nixon administration (probably long before)

It's a figurehead position, ruled by those behind the scenes.

Don't blame Obama for doing a job he was hired to do, Bush had that same job with the same puppet masters. Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter (though he sucked at it) Ford...

They do what they are told. They stand up, make speeches, sign legislation. It's all a game, it's all a show, designed to keep the public from really questioning what goes on in this country.

Don't ask Obama to all of a sudden be the bearer of "truth" it's just not going to happen, your going to get the same tripe you always have from every administration, you hate it, you love it, it's the same bull dunk they feed you administration after administration, carefully and deliberately orchestrated so that it appeals to a specific demographic of the population that supports the current bull [snip] artist in front of the microphone.

It seems like no matter what, the man can do no good, its like if he cured cancer everyone would be like "pfff....i guess, but what about aids?". He made these promises, as a country you obviously wanted them to be kept, hence electing them. So, your getting what you asked/elected for. You can't take the effect and make it the cause.

What do you think the electoral college elects the best and brightest for the job? They elected BUSH! For gods sakes obviously the brightest isn't in the job description!

An Abe Lincoln with honest virtues and integrity that stands up for the common man?

Bull dunk it's a fraudulent position given to whoever can bull the crowd the best.

Pretty speech. But it's useless. The Republic is cowed. Americans are indeed cowards. They bitch and moan about things they do not or cannot control. Alex Jones whines nonsensically, Glen Beck rants uncontrollably. Each poking at a blob, an enigma that controls us all.

Sadly each and every one of us are indeed slaves. Slaves to the system. Slaves to what they want, when they want it.

Don't fool yourself with party politics. Its just a game to keep the weak in line bickering against each other instead of facing the true enemy.

I learned recently, through the endless debate over whether or not Obama really is a citizen or not that it's just a tactic. Just another piece of tripe they throw at the dogs to keep them distracted.

The truth is, it doesn't matter who is in charge, who is in power in congress. It all boils down to the same exact thing. This country is gone, not is going, but is gone, we are slaves to the system, we are all just pawns in their stupid game to keep us occupied while they do what they want and without our consent or input. Think about it, when is the last time you actually got a personal letter from your representative for something you wrote to them.

That is of course if you bother to write to your representatives at all. (honestly how many of you actually take the time and call or write you representatives in Washington or your State and tell them what you think of an issue?)

Those who don't are hypocrites, you have failed to keep up with at least your end of the bargain. Those of you who don't at least write your representatives and tell them what you think are just whiners who don't deserve the republic you have already lost.

At least those of us who participate regularly in this have something to complain about. We know our representatives don't care, but we try anyway because it is our right and duty as Americans to make our voices heard.

But who drowns out those voices? The lobbyists. The ones with money to spend and influence our representatives and make them do what they want.

And they spend money on you too. They spend money on adds on TV telling you what to believe and you all come on ATS spreading their version of the truth. You use their talking points. You spread their lies without researching for yourself what is really the truth.

And Obama is the problem

whats the problem here?

hes is caught on video lieing 7 times in 2 minutes ... does that not justify some form of criticism?

somehow its ok for him to lie because every other president has been caught lieing and not been held accountable for it? outrageous logic!

some of those 48 things are questionable, but he did not deserve the peace prize (not like it had any validity after kissinger won it), school children should not be singing songs to elected leaders period. they are public servants not our masters.

obama also is carrying the torch for bush in these illegal wars and he deserves to be criticized for it.

if you do something wrong, or you lie, or you deliberately manipulate people for your own gain, or gain on behalf of those who arent accountable to the american people, you damn sure deserve to be critisized for it!

every president will do something right. Clinton got through the FMLA (family medical leave act) but allowed the repeal of glass steagal. its all a means to an end, and anyone who has been paying attention to facts and history will realize that obama is not going to change anything for the better. his whole cabinet is composed of the worst people in government since carter. he allowed bernanke to have another term!

he continues to support israeli war crimes, while claiming iran to be in violation of the law, when in reality the US in in violation of article 4 of the NPT.

anybody who cannot see this is just another demagogue is lost.

I agree, we have every right to criticize, "The One."

the only people saying you dont have that right is yourselves in an attempt to create an argument to defeat from people on the "left"

i've yet to see anyone from the "left" say you're not allowed to criticize obama....

my question, though, is: (this is not directed at YOUR personally, just at people who criticize obama in obtuse manners)

Why wouldn't you want to criticize Obama in an intelligent manner? Why perpetuate the "death panels" or "Nazi" arguments and make yourselves look like ignorant baboons who are merely answering the pounding war drums?

Why not call him out on his policies with FACTS instead of making up lies?

Lying about someone is not criticizing them.
Its lying.

There's a fundamental difference.

Why not call him out on his policies with FACTS

Most if us do, and I do believe his heath care reform. will cause rationing

"There's always going to be an asymmetry of information between patient and provider," he said. "And part of what I think government can do effectively is to be an honest broker in assessing and evaluating treatment options."

Obama Will Ration Your Health Care

In his book, Mr. Daschle proposes a National Health Board to regulate the way health care is provided. This board would have vast powers in regulating the massive federal health-care system -- a system that includes Medicare, Medicaid, and other programs. Under Mr. Obama, it is likely that that system will be expanded and that new government insurance for the nonelderly, nonpoor will be created.

Given the opportunity, Mr. Daschle would likely charge the board with determining which treatments and drugs are cost effective and therefore permissible to use for patients covered by the government. And because the government is such a big player in the health-care market (46% of health-care spending comes from the government), the board would effectively set parameters for private insurers.

It is nearly certain that the process of determining which drugs and which treatments would be approved for use would be quickly politicized. The details of health-care policy may not be kitchen table conversation, but the fact that a Washington committee can deny grandma a hip replacement due to her age, or your sister a new and expensive drug, is. Health care is personal and voters will pressure lawmakers on access to care.

Liberal experts, Mr. Daschle included, believe that America needs to ration new technology and drugs. In his book, Mr. Daschle complains about overuse of new technology and praises the United Kingdom's National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE), a rationing system that controls government costs. NICE's denial of care is legendary -- from the arthritis drug Abatacept to the lung cancer drug Tarceva. These drugs are effective. It's just that the bureaucrats don't consider them cost effective.

Obama taxes pacemakers, heart valves

The result will be that virtually every piece of advanced surgical equipment will be subject to a price increase to meet the levy from Washington. No matter that these devices often make the difference between life and death and that, in effect, taxing them raises the cost of vital treatments. The vengeful White House will have its pound of flesh from the medical device industry for daring to be independent and to refuse to knuckle down to administration pressure.

This tax, imposed in a spirit of haughty arrogance, falls on totally inappropriate objects. Valves, prosthetic limbs, pacemakers, hearing aids and such are essential therapies that make life longer, better and less painful. To tax them makes no sense. Except in the world of sharp elbows and interest group politics that grips this take-no-prisoners and show-no-mercy White House.

IN response to BH's list,

Obama's Science Czar Considered Forced Abortions, Sterilization as Population Growth Solutions

President Obama's "science czar," John Holdren, once floated the idea of forced abortions, "compulsory sterilization," and the creation of a "Planetary Regime" that would oversee human population levels and control all natural resources as a means of protecting the planet -- controversial ideas his critics say should have been brought up in his Senate confirmation hearings.
Does Obama know his czars?

Do you judge a man by the company he keeps?

JUst one of many?

FCC Diversity chief, Obama Czar Mark Lloyd

Another Marxist who has been given the power to heavily influence Obama’s FCC is Diversity chief (he appears to be tasked with getting rid of conservative talk radio) and Obama Czar Mark Lloyd.

Urban Obama Czar Adolfo Carrion

Then, there is the Urban ObamaCzar Adolfo Carrion who has apparently, per The New York Daily News, been receiving kickbacks for years for his bestowed political favors.

ObamaCzar Advocating Genocide against Americans?

The man who is President Obama's newly minted urban czar pocketed thousands of dollars in campaign cash from city developers whose projects he approved or funded with taxpayers' money, a Daily News probe found.

America, please put all this behind you. Stand up for each other as Americans. The puppets and their masters are winning. We are on the verge of losing what little we have left of our great nation.
Does it really surprise you that Obama lied, come on all of them lie. The only difference is this time around they have a young, articulate, educated and charismatic man hypnotising the people.
Along with the Bill being drawn up about the Birth Certificate, a Bill stating if the candidate lies to get into office, he/she will be thrown out on the a$$e$, period no exceptions.
Or better yet, while campaigning they have to be hook up to a lie detector, with a giant screen behind them displaying the words, TRUTH & LIE. Maybe that would keep the Liars from ever reaching DC.

I agree with your whole statement there. Much of what is you said is in a way that I may have even worded it myself. Great job and great mind. It is bickering battle they (the elite) have great with the media sector of their ability cuz fighting and anger amoungst ourselves. Fact is there are many people who do want the best for the country and they believe Man can bring this. Unfortunetely man fails. History is grim, sad, unfaithful and bloody. Trust in God, and you will survive the fate of flesh and live eternally. There isnt much of anything left on earth to have hope in.

-Hope- it is what every human longs for.

I'm just going to answer this one because it's a perfect example of the unfair criticism that comes down on Obama. I'm not saying they're all unfair. Many are fair. But if FOX News reports it, you should decide to look further.

Over 30 years ago, Holdren co-wrote a textbook about Ecoscience. In it, MANY solutions to overpopulation were discussed. From one extreme to the other. Just to cover all the possibilities. Forced sterilization was the furthest extreme. Holdren did not advocate it. Just the opposite, he actually recommended "the use of milder methods of influencing family size preferences".

But FOX News read that and ran with it. And so now we have people claiming that Obama wants forced abortions! It's insane.

It would be like me writing a book to explore all options for remedying the problem of unwanted pets. THe chapters might look like this:

1. Spay Neuter programs
2. Providing prisons with dogs
3. Taxes for shelters so they don't have to kill the animals
4. Mandatory Spay Neuter of 90% of the pets
5. Euthanasia of all unwanted animals

So, then FOX comes along and says, "BH is suggesting mass euthanasia as the way to deal with the unwanted pets in the US"!
