I'm doing research for a book I am writing. Part of which involves an alternate version of earth in which the skies are yellow as opposed to blue.
I went searching to find a reason that it might be possible, and it is indeed possible, the atmosphere of a planet can appear yellow if there is an
abundance of sodium in the atmosphere. My question regarding this is if there were large quantities of sodium in the upper atmosphere of earth yet all
other chemical levels (oxygen, etc) remained the same would earth still be capable of sustaining human life?
Any help that can be offered will be greatly appreciated.
