this sounds good in theory but what your telling me is that somewhere there is a little round yellow guy that eats dots and gets chased by ghosts until he eats even bigger dots than he eats the ghosts?

Reminds me of the following quote

"Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music."

thats cool and all, and I understand the multiverse theory, but what i really want to know is how do we make those concepts more tangible?

Leave your body to sleep/go deep inside your mind to explore some of these things. Ie, 'out of body experience, ie 'astral projection.'

We can't "create" these ideas just by thinking about them, but as I said above, given an INFINITE number of universes, just about anything you can think of can occur somewhere in one of those universes...

...just like, as I said, the "Infinite Monkey Theorem". If an infinite number of universes exist, then somewhere in one of the infinite number of universes, a monkey has typed out Shakespeare's Hamlet by randomly hitting keys on a keyboard.

"Infinite" is a lot.

But I still completely disagree with your opinion.

but so does a world in which god doesn't exist - we still have to choose which we live in, i'm not sure i could believe a god would exist who's so imcompitent as the theist god so i'm inclined to assume we're alone in the desolate void.

That's the thing about this theory, it's great in theory but has little or no actual impact on the existential issues we all suffer, namely death and taxes.

Well if someone from another reality is out there looking at this website, please imagine a blow job from a really hot blonde woman for a guy sitting at his computer in Dublin.

You made my day... Maybe we should redefine the word of existence? If you think of something, that means it exists? Yes it exists in your head and nowhere else. Claiming it will become real, made of energy/matter/somethingelse elsewhere/nowhere, is total stupidity. I agree about the infinite possibilities in an infinite universe but this has nothing to do with our mind/spirit/imagination. It could be anything but not what we could imagine coz our imagination is limited.

Ha ha! I was thinking along those same lines...

...I was thinking that in one of those infinite universes, "I" am regularly having sex with actress Eva Longoria. (although, with my luck, in that universe Eva Longoria weighs 400 pounds and is ugly).

or, are we trying to remember that we are
God?

Yes, we have been trying to remember and once we do, it gets rather dull. So how to spice things up? Create a universe where You (the collective WE) can get lost. It's ingenius really but trying when you Wake before other aspects of You.

This highlights the fact that the verb "exist" is not well defined.

Existing as in, ever having a chance of finding evidence of?

the answer is most definitely no.

Existing in some other sense? maybe, but we will never know for sure, will we?

-rrr

a time / dimension travaler once told me that the most important piece of logic in understanding the many possible worlds that could and do exist is that you need an egg to break an egg.

Not everything is possible, right now i couldn't break an egg because i don't have one - the next action which i take at any time could be almost anything, i could break my laptop or i could lick it - i certainly can't break an egg though.

This then leads of course to the simple logic that only viable worlds are possible, the pokemon world can be imagined but as it breaks thermodynamics we can assume that it doesn't ever exist outside fantasy. If there is any difference between fantasy and reality is a complex issue, it all boils down to cogitio ergo sum - all we can know is we are asking the question.

the most important thing to remember is that we thinking beings are the only real decider of fate - we craft the future by our actions now, only with clarity of vision and honest understanding can we hope to do a good job.

I agree with the OP in THIS respect...
If there are an infinite number of universes, then anything that we can imagine has happened in one of those infinite universes --

HOWEVER, I don't believe that we caused it to happen by thinking of it. It happen because of the infinite number of situations.

I would say just the opposite. That, everything is an illusion & the only real thing that exist is God. So, in my opinion, anything that can be imagined is just part of the illusion.
Quantium Physics says that matter is a thought, that it isn't real.

Let these words be inscribed in your heart: 'Nothing is real but God, nothing matters but love for God.' Meher Baba

Thats kind of like my point, but I like the way you worded yours.
Anything we imagine is just shadows and illusions. Ultimate reality is what we can't imagine and that Ultimate reality is the only Infinity. The Ultimate that we imagine isn't the Ultimate but a mere shadow of the Truth. The cosmos only has the illusion of infinity.

First, you don't have to pay taxes or secondly... die. And this IS the mind-bender we are trying to forget - we are Eternal. I'm not talking about harps in the clouds, rather YOU FOREVER. In this 3D experience we idolize imortality but don't really grasp what that means. YOU - FOREVER. It's times like these I create myself asleep again (and so it IS).

Too bad... But ur opinion can be anything, it only stays an opinion, really too bad, u hoped there would be a world full of pokemons maybe?

Anything than human mind can imagine is nonsense, dumbness and unbalanced. This world obey to universal laws that it livable and balanced and no chaotic, like human mind. Plus, human imagination is limited, the world is infinite, endless>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>limited possibilities. Even if that #ed up hypothesis would be a tiny little right, there would be almost no chance that something u imagine really exist. And there is probably a law that prevent stupidity/dumbness to happen in a large scale. So u can imagine a yourself with 5dicks and tens balls, he will never exist.

by this logic, we're being imagined by someone or something else somewhere else.

by this logic, then nothing is in fact real.

everything would then be just figments of arbitrary imaginations.

thats chaos.

what if something is yet to be imagined? does it not exist?

im sorry, but your sentimental theory is flawed on so many levels.

Am I correct in saying your point is there is no free will? You're right, Ultimate Truth culminates in blind Love but what fun is that? The world joins hands and sings the world needs a Coke and then what? We become eco-friendly farmers and stewads of the earth and live in peace? I say we hide from the proverbial God for a bit longer. (devil's advocate)

That is perfectly true, too, but I think that is where you come in, my friend. No offense. It's just that there is a time and place for everything, you know.
