I probably would have passed this "girlie movie" by but the GF wanted to see it today and she promised to buy me a corn dog so I acquiesced.
It was a typical formula, coming of age movie directed by Drew Barrymore and actually a pretty good job for her first one. Ellen Page is just to cute
and talented to be real. It was her movie. But there was also plenty of eye candy if you lean to the raunchy, woman, punk roller derby gothic queen
to hip for words kind of gal.
I however was more attracted to Marsha Gaye Hardin, mainly because I met her once on another show, but she always turns in a solid performance and
"Whip it" was no exception. No huge message, no gun play or explosions; Just fun and good lookin women. That's enough for.......
