Wish i could say the same, but i honestly have ZERO respect for partisan drones, who eat, breathe, and poop strictly according to party lines. To me, you're at the same level of absurdity as the "hard ass right wing survivalist types". I'm really not trying to be a a-hole, but i'm just sick to death of seeing the minds of otherwise intelligent human beings controlled so easily. It reduces my hopes that one day our civilization will be a bit more fair and humane. But you call that "wishing for the end of all things".

I'm sorry to disappoint you but yes I am partisan. It is not so much that I'm for democrats or Obama, but I despise right wingers. Your description of me is the same I would have said about them in 2003 when Bush was beating the drums of war and invaded Iraq. This was an unnecessary war where we where mislead and real people were killed and it doesn't even compare to those like you complaining because of some bailouts or Obama is cutting some execs paycheck.

I'm sure that personally you are someone that is respectable and in real life we might even get along. It just bothers me to see a bunch of conservatives jumping onto the Obama bashing bandwagon. Maybe that is the nature of conspiracy website, but ATS is over run with bashers.

For christsake Obama hasn't done anything wrong yet, and certainly nothing that compares to invading another country. You and I both agree that this country is being controlled by corporations, but if that is true then you can't say that Obama and the government is taking over corporations and trying to turn this into a socialist country. It is the complete opposite of that right now. The corporations control the government. That is what makes this restriction to execs pay so important. Obama is doing a GOOD thing.

Looking from that perspective can't you agree with that? If not then we will have to agree to disagree.

Here we go once again! I live in Canada your nieghbouring country, please correct me if i am wrong, but isn't something going down in december? the transfer of carbon credits to 3rd world countries and the channeling of billions of dollars to said countries of course to allow the us military to go into said country to rape and pillage as normal and have haliburton come in to rebuild? have we seen this before, me thinks so, will we see this again, more than likely, who profits from this? who are the people that head these corporations? we, the people, well at least on here now who runs those shows. What was that movie called, Ah, i remember, it was called i think, " the shooter" it started out in africa on a hill somewhere with a marine sniper and sighter, it's funny how we forget, it was about a us company wanting to remove indiginious people from there traditional homeland because some big western us or canadian company like Varrick gold could come in and displace those people, and if those said people were not willing to move, well, remove them by force,.. to close to the truth, the cia, the kiss people and then the two RR's Rosch and Rock, including that canadian guy, good old Mulroney and perhaps others? It's really to obsurd to even really consider what these people, if they are really people and what goes on inside there brains, are they as david icke says ..greys, dunno, i worked for them for a number of years,..that still scares me, i walked away totally in 1991. yes i speak out, but my vehicle does not blow up with me in it yet, so what more can i say? So to all of you speak up and out, be heard, do not fear, let's take them, the ptb out, many many of us to few of them, let's make that world policy! goodnight and peace to all.

Yes I do remember, and I will only say that it is no excuse to allow rampant bashing to continue. Some presidents get the attention they deserve.

I see that you did extend an olive branch so to speak, but I also noticed you fell short of answering my question. I think that we agree that corporations are controlling Washington, and if so, doesn't the fact that Obama cutting the pay of some corp execs is a step in the right direction?

Maybe I'm asking too much from a conservative.

Here is a hint. The Earth won't shatter if you agree with me.

Considering these are the guys who ran their companies into the ground and nearly plunged the whole country and the rest of the world into the worst depression in almost a century, I think they're getting off lightly.

If they want to hire someone to lose billions of dollars for them, I'd be glad to do it for 90% of their present pay.

It's the least the Obama administration can do to help loosen the corporate grip on America.

I already answered that in my first post, i'm glad their pay is getting cut if it genuinely is, however like i also said, a good part of me believes that they've worked out another way for them to benefit obscenely behind closed doors.

If you agree, then why are you arguing with me?

A conservative? Usually i'm called a "looney liberal" on so many other threads, lol. I suppose i can take pride in that, guess i'm truly an independent.

I'll give you "looney" and will say I've never been called "Hyper-partisan drone" before. I guess we're even.

Do you really think it's just conservatives who are upset at the government? I'm not upset for the same reasons most of them are, they are pretty much being sore losers. Again, i voted for Obama, i have nothing against him directly. I'm fed up with ALL of the career politicians and lobbyists.

Ok, that's fine. I'm still confused as to why your arguing with me, but yes for the most part I think these people are just being sore loosers. I know there are others that don't like the government regardless of who is in power. It is easy to tell then apart. They will criticize the government in a reasonable manner instead of making up lies or pushing ideas they know are not true. In some cases I would even agree with them otherwise I wouldn't be here.

I am also open minded and look into these rumors to see if there is anything to them first. That's what we do here at ATS, but it is the outlandish bashing that bothers me.

Cheers.

I wasn't arguing that point with you, we were arguing about the necessity of the bailout, under the threat they would destroy us all.

I do have a way with words sometimes. That's just how i see it, i find it hard to truly believe that anybody would follow party lines on every issue if they were truly thinking for themselves. And i won't argue being called "looney", gotta be a little to survive in this world. I'm just not a conservative or a liberal. I lean both ways on many different issues.

That's what we do here at ATS, but it is the outlandish bashing that bothers me.

It bothers me too. Again, the only thing we were arguing about was the need to bailout those greedy corporations. You'll find many a thread where i call out the Obama bashers who just don't like Obama, no matter what he did. If he walked on water, they would say he couldn't swim. It bothered me when Bush was in office too.

I'm not against the government, i know we need it to function as a society. I'm not an anarchist, i'm just not blind. I see our politicians very clearly looking out for themselves and nobody else. I see them feigning outrage over corporate abuses for the cameras, but when you look at their action, it directly contradicts what they say. I strongly believe that lobbyists should be banned from washington. Politicians should ONLY recieve money from the people, and be held accountable only to the people. Lobbying is bribery.

That is part of the problem too. ONe of the stipulations of the TARP funds was that the banks were supposed to be keeping people in their homes and start reducing foreclosures. Well, they are not.

could these companies get any more evil?

So I don't blame Obama one iota on hitting them where it hurts.
