Ooooh, this gets me so freaking angry!
I just read today that the Obama administration is thinking of using the remaining money to stimulate small businesses. Ok, that part is great. The
part that is NOT so great is the way they are planning on doing it: giving the money to the banks, and asking them to give it out to the small
businesses.
WTF?? We just gave the banks billions, and they were "supposed" to give the money to struggling homeowners. That did not happen, and still is not
happening. The banks just sat on the money and turned amazing profits.
So now, they trust the banks to "distribute" the money to the small businesses? Give me a break! The banks will find just as many excuses to not
loan the money to small businesses as they did to not loan the money to home owners. (You make too much money. You don't make enough. Your house
isn't worth it. Your house is worth too much.)
I think most of us agree that if they had just given the money directly to homeowners, things would have ended up much better. So, if they want the
remaining money to go to small businesses, why not just give it directly to them??? Why go through the god-awful banks!? Or use the money for
something else, like paying off the debt, or SOMETHING else. But don't give billions more dollars to the banks again! PLEASE.....the banks cannot be
trusted to divert the money to the people....they won't do it!
I have lost ALL faith in my country. I swear.

Yeah, the bailouts are getting ridiculous. I kept telling my husband that if they had split the first bailout evenly amongst the American people, we
would be a more stable society. $7500 to each person in the US? Heck, yeah. People would have bought cars, paid of debt, invested in the market,
bought more consumer goods, and we'd be all better off.
But its just easier to pay off the big guys and let the little guys rot.
Awesome. Let's do it again Let's give the money to the banks since they did such a great job last time!!

Yes, some, bubble heads in congress want the reminding TARP money to be given to banks so they can come around and offer loans to small businesses,
but what they are not telling is that while the corrupted banks took TARP with minimum interest for their profits and outrageous bonuses they now
want more tax payer to be used for loans without tapping on their reserves and with more profits for them in the name of higher interest rates for the
loans.
Corruption in this nation has no boundaries, and we actually have bubble heads in congress that thinks this a great idea.

Outrageous, isn't it? I honestly can't believe how the TPTB, Wall Market cronies, Politicans, et al, can sleep at night in their comfortable
$MultiMillion homes while the rest of us scrape.
At what point did having no conscience become a prerequisite for all high-level decision makers?

yeh, more money for banks.
Why don't they (congress) just come and tell the truth for once....
"We want to rape you and your children so we can give more money to our friends in banking who will give us some back in exchange. As an addided
bonus they promised me a place in their new world when our economy collapses. To seal the deal they tossed in the right to choose which of my
constituents I want to keep as love slaves and which will work my plantation for me."
On second though I guess that's why they don't tell us the truth.

Ha this is getting rediculous, here's what the banks will do probably lend it to some company like Wal-mart and be like "Oh Wal-Mart isn't a small
business? whoops..." I wonder what the official definition of small business is according to this Administration and the Previous. Apparently
struggling homeowners means the banks. *sigh* when will the insanity end...

Years ago, I worked as a Federal Bank Examiner - Trusts.
There was a law that only allowed banks to expand within counties. That was it. Lots and lots of small banks.
Of course some in New York and Coral Gables for example, drew lots of big foreign money, and were big enough to finance the largest of construction
projects.
But the law changed. Holding companies. Allowing multi-state banks. The larger ones bought up prosperous smaller banks and became financial
monsters.
Monsters banks, like huge dinosaurs, need to be allowed to die. Keep in mind, the real assets of these monsters don't disappear, but are bought and
redistributed to those who CAN.
And the law, much akin to our existing anti-trust laws, should revert to days past.
Then no one would have to bail out anyone.
This is just like an 18" high flame.
It burns my ass.

Why not funnel the money into the SBA Loan program?.. (Small Business Administration)
It already exist, to serve small businesses, via the Federal Government..
Loaning through banks to loan to the businesses from the Gov, according to my GOVERNMENT certification on money laundering is.....
Money laundering.
Gov made me take a class on it and everything when I worked in finances.. something about it... being illegal....

This would be funny if it were not true. Give the banks money and hope they do what they say they will do with it? Yeah that has worked well in the
past... The way all this printing and borrowing is devaluing the USD I wouldn't be surprised if they do lend the money to small business... to small
business in foreign countries who have strong currencies.

I’m good for that-Give the banks more money, Make them relax the lending Criteria. I'm trying to get a loan to buy a business and cannot get money
because i don't have enough 'back up money" or assets to stand Surety. "You need money to lend Money"
Sorry not to agree with you on this one. I don't mind paying the extra taxes, because if it gets me "my money' then i'll be earning Big bucks and
what's a few extra $100 dollars.
Go get your share of the American Dream. Once things go back to normal its business as usual. The Rich will get richer and the Poor Poorer. This is
not just a saying its real. And the only reason why its real is because of how the Banking system works. Banks want you to have assets and security
before they’ll lend you money to buy a business. And who has this ? Rich people, so they can get the big loans and keep moving up the ladder. As for
the rest of us, we’ll just hang around and keep getting No’s.

Like I've said to many of my friends , these bailouts are going to the wrong people ; banks and megacorps. How will the people spend if they have no
money and no jobs to get the money. Many of these banks and corpas have overseas subsidiaries that have taken away jobs , that are going to get some
of that stimulus too , some of these overseas territories are tax havens. See how they work , they don't even wanna pay taxes. Always looking to
cheat ; so why is it that the little people have to play fair?
I've equated this with an old alpha lion , who after having his play of the field lies dying. There are many young , prime males ready to take his
place but the local park ranger who had a soft spot for old snagglepus has none of it , props him up and puts him on life support.
This stifles competition and the injection of new vigor into the pride , and the other prides see a chance to expand. It is all just a farce ; the old
lion is a soft target and virtually dead , just the disillusioned park ranger is fighting to keep his old pal alive and dominant. The young lions only
have to get rid of the silly ranger , unplug the old king and their reign begins. Or they can just take the lionesses and start a new pride.

Another thing government BAILOUTS in a capitalist economy. When does private enterprise run to government?! yup only in socialism. The minute
government intervention and anti-competition came into the picture it's not capitalism anymore , it's either socialism for the former or monopoly
for the latter.
