I remember reading somewhere that the Mayans believed that Quetzacoatl would return at the end of their calander and that is why they ended it there.
Apparently this is not a good thing.
Most calanders used to begin and end with the ascention and death of kings and rulers. It makes sense that they would end their calander with the
return of their snake god.
"Mighty Kukulcan, whose fury could scorch this Earth to oblivion..."
Ah yes, the plumed or 'feathered' serpent. He was ousted in the last age, and evil reigned from then on, but he promised to return and establish an
everlasting kingdom. He was described as a bearded white man and had a group of followers with him. He healed the sick and taught man the ways of
peace, and shunned violence and war. Viracocha was also a bearded figure with all the same qualities, from the distant Andes mountains. The story of
Osirus and his son Horus are also very similar, as well as Krishna.
To me these stories of the messiah being so similar are much more than coincidence. They are stories of the Most high God incarnate(God made flesh)
and his coming is imminent. Apparently, we are at the threshhold of an occurance that has never been, nor ever will be again. It will be seen by all,
and understood by few.
Man rejects the light in favor of darkness. However this time ALL will come to light, nothing that is hidden will remain hidden, and wisdom will
increase to those that seek it.
But to the unwise, liars, murderers, cowards, they will dig their own pit to destruction. Fashioned from their own mind.
