Sápmi, no war.. not even a word in the sami language for war, atrocities? Hmm.. I can't imagine any major atrocities happening.

Granted, it isn't a "real" country, but it is a real place with real people and real history, and the sami people have never waged a war..

History must have missed that one

Obama's populism, that is aimed to improve his rating, is not going too well on the international stage. Criticising foreign car companies (and not the union run GM) and creating a diplomatic feud with China is one way to send the world back into recession (even a depression with his protectionist economic plan)

Informative post but you have honestly got to be joking with your final paragraph…no one can possibly think that the world is better because of America…there is no country on this planet that makes the world a better place!

I read the subject, read the initial 'history lesson' (not needed but thank you) and still don't know what the op is trying to say. It seems the point is that he is feeling got at.
I'm pretty tired of all these 'everybody hates us' rants. Such garbage just divides people.
Not much hope for any of us really, if we can't debate without infighting.
So no star and flag from me. Rather a pile of poo...

The end is nigh

Portugal Passes Bill that Will Increase Deficit

Portugal's parliament passed on Friday a controversial bill on regional finances, defeating the minority Socialist government which said it would try to block the law by other means, warning it will raise the budget gap.

A massive political crisis in Portugal, that is far greater than Greece. The budget might even be blocked by the Parliament.

Excellent thread

It is however useless to blame our last few generations in Europe for crimes our ancestors committed.
The crimes of the US are more recent and even still in progress.

You are right about the way you fight your wars and for that your country deserves respect.
Although I still stand with my conclusions on my thread. I must say that my opinion was to negative about the US.

Thank you for opening up my eyes. I can actually see the good things again.

Pretty much every country in this world has a dark past...what counts is today, and in that respect the US isn't doing a great job considering their newly found interest in imperialism. It's almost as if they're trying to copy the Europe from 200 years ago

Useless thread is useless, seriously OP, you dont have anythings better to do than posting that kind of thread ?

"blah blah US is not evil, wah wah bad Europe, boohoo nones loves the US"

Here is the point , its not we dont like US, its just we dont give a damn about it, that kind of thread is a waste of bandwith IMO

But its true, well documented subject , but totaly useless.

As the others said "we all have a dark past" so deal with it

whining about it dont gonna change the past

Without GB most Americans today would not be around. Show some respect to your true homeland!

It's not the past I'm worried about. It is the future where I'm thinking of.

Do you realize that you are wining on winers about a useless post. Wasting bandwidth on bandwidth already wasted.

Edit to say : I'm sorry wrong thread.

Most Europeans have a go at America because of what is happening now,not so much about the past.
Yes,we Europeans have a bad past but things seem to be a lot better now for us,not ripping eachothers heads off at any given chance.

Lets see if America is so great in say a few hundred years(not that we will know) MUCH of what happened in the past was due to religous zealots believing in a god that the USA seems to put a lot of faith in

If only your record for friendly kills on your allies was a bit better eh!!!
