Mars Caves May Hold Secret to Life on Planet, Shelter Explorers

www.bloomberg.com

Scientists have discovered a series of caves on Mars that might provide shelter to future explorers and may hold evidence of life, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The caves were probably formed when lava cooled and solidified on top of channels created during ancient volcanic eruptions, making tunnels,

The formations may hold evidence of microbial life that would have been destroyed or buried on the surface of the planet

There’s even been speculation that lava tubes could be sealed a

So they'll make a home there in the caves for astronauts?
In the caves?

That's pretty interesting!

Since MARS has no appreciable atmosphere, there must be protections for astronauts from radiation.

On Earth, we are protected by out atmosphere and magnetic fields that deflect solar and outer space radiation.

Sure space craft would have protection, but think how small they are.

If they can seal a cave, they would have a MUCH larger living/working area.

This would aid both physical and mental health.

That does not even think about possible life forms/water that "MAY" be found.

I am thinking there's life on the moon more than life on mars

Did you see the new Mars pics I posted?
