Yeah when I lived in GA I knew guys who would bring them back alive with the help of dogs. They'd then pen them up and try to get the wild taste out of them. The guy I was talking about went mano-a-pigo. He got pretty beat up but finished the job.
He's into that sort of thing, it's been awhile since I seen him but the last time I did he had recently gotten bit in the thigh by a black bear. I didn't ask but my guess is he got too close too soon after it was shot. -I'm not kidding
