Nope, it's only supposed to be one day. This year it was the 17th of October. Next year it actually falls on the same day as Guy Fawkes so at least all the law breakers can get it out of their systems at the same time.

Is there not animal care forums to post crap like this? This has nothing to do with anything ATS related. Firecrackers scare your animals and you want to get your husband to pepper spray some law breakin' hindus.
I just do not see the point of all this im out.

Kind of sounds like the 4th of July, or New Year’s Eve here in the states. A few too many beers or one too many drinks and the cowboys go wild.

Interesting. Wikipedia says something different (on the right hand side of the page)
Although I think I would trust your source (being a Hindu site) more.

But that same wikipedia article says in it's first line that Diwali "is a significant 5-day festival in Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism."?
