AmIthe one answered correctly, much like a newspaper headline will make a bold statement, and the article underneath will give all the minute details...

This also happens with the 6th day of creation, it is given in broad terms in chapter 1, but in chapter 2 starting with verse 7 the 6th day is explained in great detail.

Some think Genesis speaks of Adam being made "twice" when in reality chapter 1 speaks of him simply being made on day 6, and then gives all the finer details of day 6 in chapter 2 starting at verse 7.

Hope this clears the confusion my friend.

Genesis 1 is actually the just mythology behind the Hebrew Alef Bet and language. BTW, like I've said before and emphesised more than once, Day in Genesis 1 means "period of time", read it rather "and that was the essence of (what we invented from making) light and darkness (play together) of the first age" or everything from instant to age to eternity. It's about intellectual development, observance and science.

If you measure one day as the rotation of earth, how could you measure the creation if it wasn't yet completed and followed other physics, depending on, e.g., mass?

That simple question disproves the six literal human day theory very well.

I believe in the creation account but maybe the measurement of days is the rotation of another celestial body of God's choosing, ever think of that?

God explains it and people think he is bound to an earthly/human perspective.

In the vedas the holy trinity comprises of brahma, visnu and siva.

The Brahma aspect of it is the creating principle, earth included.
I don't know the exact figure but one day of Brahma is equal to several
million earth years!

There is a passage within the Tibetan Book of the Dead where time is calculated, and it works well within what science knows. And as I have shouwn here earlier the six days of god are biilons of years.

7 days * (365.2425 days in a year * 1000 years) = 2,556,697.5 years

That'd be as long as there has been O2+H2O dependant species here on Earth. If you multiply this number of years to figure out how many days there are for God which again would be another thousands of years, you get approximately one billion.

2,556,697.5 years * 365.2425 days = 933,814,586.6 or about a billion....

Given that the Aramaic word translated to the English "day" in Genesis actually just means "period of time", I don't think anyone can truthfully say that even the ancient Hebrews believed that it was created in 7 24-hour periods.

Satan made Yowm mean day, instead of age or "general reality continuum". Like he owns his right to have given us knowledge allthough he rejected the idea when he saw what knowledge were us bethrodded, waging war against all of u$. Right now he's buying himself into a corner, feeling safe from "all that will be left", how 'bout a new sat. Hellen*s?

Fixed.

Yes, in fact the ancient man created thousands of pieces of artwork depicting them, wrote about raising, hunting, killing them.

When was the first dinosaur fossil found? 19th century. Gotcha, yeah, thousands of ancient men all had a mass delusion lasting thousands of years.

oh wait, mass delusions are impossible, err, um, nevermind.

Hi Roark

The 1st Creation Myth found in Genesis chapter 1:1 to 2:4a (+ Gen 5:1-2) was written in unpointed (un-vowelled) paleoHebrew in the same style as the Scroll of the Book of the prophet Hezekiel c. 540 BCE and not the later pointed Aramaic.

Interestingly, in the first Creation Myth Male and female are created together as a single species: Male AND Female created he them in his own image and he called THEIR name ADAM (Gen 5:1)

The 2nd Creation myth - Gen 2:4b to 4:26 (where the order is man, animals, and the woman created separately from the man's side) is ALSO written in unpointed paleoHebrew, not later pointed Aramaic.

Maybe you were thinking of the Aramaic Targum paraphrases that were circulating around the time of R. Yehoshua Bar Yosef the Galilean Nazir? Many of the 'quotations from the OT' that 'Iesous' quotes for example in the Nicene Council approved Greek Gospel of 'Matthew' (whoever he was) are NOT from the usual Greek LXX Septuaginta (as with most NT quotes of the OT, e.g. in Paul) , but unlike them are from a Greek translation from an Aramaic Targum...

Was this what you were thinking?

The Council of Nicea didn't "approve" or disapprove any books of the Bible.

Whoever wrote the Book of Exodus must have, because that is the bases for the fourth commandment, that because God created the heaven and the earth and all the things in it, in six days and rested the seventh day and hallowed it, we must keep the seventh day holy.
