Why would ET's Disclose through Government and not just Appear to all of us?

i understand this, but i still think that a simple disclosure in human form through government would still brew up many many unanswered questions.

there are so many people out there who are against the government that it would be a hard thing to swallow coming from government.

Also, if ET's have been visiting, abducting etc for hundreds or thousands of years, whats one day of appearance going to matter before this years out? surely they can show up in grand fashion once, theyve supposedly done it many times before, just look at many cave drawings etc from around the world.
