yep,have u listened to the new 50 cent as well? my childhood was so cool with his gaaaangstaaaa songs,and now theyr both old and sold out "wanna be popstars"
and they wonder why theyr albums just sit there in the store

Avoid doing this. Psychopathic records is terrible.

eminem isnt that bad.

have you heard some of his lyrics off his new album? it's still as vulgar and offensive as he always was. it's good that at least someone in rap (hip-hop, whatever you want to call it) has the balls so rap about something besides bitches and money.

I haven't listened to rap that is about bitches and money since the early 90's.....and I've listened to rap from the 80's through to the present day.

There are even threads about positive and conscious hip-hop on ATS.

You just gotta search

i have no idea about what kind of rap is popular now and what not. last time i listened to rap on the radio, it was all about money and # and all the songs sounded the same.

Commercial rap died a long time ago.

Although the OP was curt and without much verbage, I have to agree.

However, that said, he's better and more popular and more marketable than I am, so I just have to chock myself up as sour grapes.

He never was my "thing" either. Still taste is "subjective". He's an "icon" for some of his fans. He was voted as "Best male" at the last EMA, so some people love him and respect to him and them of course...
