Glenn Beck -- Studio Audience of Doctors Discuss ObamaCare -- FOX News -- Part 2

I think doctors need to grow up and step into this milenium. Factory workers, engineers, school teachers, and most other workers have all been asked to produce more for less money. Why should doctors be immune from the market pressures everyone else must face? Why should doctors see their wages skyrocket while every other profession sees its wages decrease?

Doctors do bring a valid perspective to the healthcare debate that policy makers should heed, but the issues surrounding healthcare effect everyone in this country. We should not be making policy choices solely for the sake of doctors.
"Most doctors — 63 percent — say they favor giving patients a choice that would include both public and private insurance," NPR reports. "In addition, another 10 percent of doctors say they favor a public option only; they'd like to see a single-payer health care system. Together, the two groups add up to 73 percent." The researchers found strong support among all types of doctors: primary care providers, specialists, both urban and rural doctors and among members of the American Medical Association, which has opposed the public option. The survey was published by the New England Journal of Medicine.

Thanks for posting this S&F. I think Glenn Beck is the last slice of truth left between us and pure communism.
I think most people would agree that since doctors have our lives in their hands, they should be paid very well to keep their skills up and continue doing a good job. People love athletes who are paid millions of dollars due to natural God-given abilities they possess, but loathe any "working" person who makes more than they do. The sad thing is that this attitude is the norm in America.
