Thanks for posting this S&F. I think Glenn Beck is the last slice of truth left between us and pure communism.

Well it is called supply and demand. Since we are going to expand the numbers of customers, meaning demand will go up, then that means the cost of the product, ie Doctors services should rise as well.

As far as school teachers go, I know a lot of them and they have done nothing but get raises and more government funded benefits over the last 15 years or so.

The supply of doctors hasn't really gone up.

I heard on cspan that we haven't increased our medical school capacity in 40 years. IE, the amount of graduating doctors in 2009 is the same as it was in 1970.

I think doctors need to grow up and step into this milenium. Factory workers, engineers, school teachers, and most other workers have all been asked to produce more for less money. Why should doctors be immune from the market pressures everyone else must face? Why should doctors see their wages skyrocket while every other profession sees its wages decrease?

Either you're super wealthy, or you're super stupid.

You raise a good point.

However, we must also consider that Glenn Beck obviously hand-picked these doctors to say what he wants his audience to hear. I don't think anyone would expect anything less of him.

The fact is, the majority of doctors are in favor of the public option and health care reform.

"Most doctors — 63 percent — say they favor giving patients a choice that would include both public and private insurance," NPR reports. "In addition, another 10 percent of doctors say they favor a public option only; they'd like to see a single-payer health care system. Together, the two groups add up to 73 percent." The researchers found strong support among all types of doctors: primary care providers, specialists, both urban and rural doctors and among members of the American Medical Association, which has opposed the public option. The survey was published by the New England Journal of Medicine.

Kaiser Health News

Of course, you won't be hearing that on Beck's show any time soon, because he says what his masters ask him to say. The same thing can be said for any media figurehead.

It's all a bunch of propaganda, and if you buy any of it your are giving up free thought. To really consider the facts, we need to look at what doctors around the country are saying, not just the ones Fox news chooses to air.

S&F
I watched it today. The take-home message for me was the segment where he talked about what Hillary Clinton did to the vaccine industry.

When she made it "free" for all children, companies went out of business, and shortages developed.
Kind of a portend for the future of healthcare.
-cue dramatic music-

The US is in bad shape if what you say is true.

I think most people would agree that since doctors have our lives in their hands, they should be paid very well to keep their skills up and continue doing a good job. People love athletes who are paid millions of dollars due to natural God-given abilities they possess, but loathe any "working" person who makes more than they do. The sad thing is that this attitude is the norm in America.

I have always thought that athletes being payed so much money is obscene and insulting to the rest of the world.

Medical help should be a right to every human being in the world. But the a lot of poor people have to die for the rich to get richer. I saw part of the show live and a doctor said "that a doctor would not do all the tests he would like for fear of being penalized." I think if anyone has job security it is doctors. I doubt any of us will see the day when there are no sick people on earth. This man made it sound like they're after the money... its "Do no harm" first.

President Obama has many mistakes... many, but Glenn Beck is a megalomaniac... so was Adolf Hitler by the way.
