Osirus, I live near two AFB's much further south and west of you, and have noted a strange changeup from the normal pattern.

In the evenings, after dark, there will be one to four C-130's in the air flying a wide, wide circle. They're flying too high to be gunships getting in some practice.

While the C-130 is not a bomber, we're getting some major, very large ordinance being dropped on the northern reach of their flight pattern.

Since I can't see them actually doing the dropping, I can't say they are the ones dropping these very large thudding/thumping bombs.

But nothing else is in the air that has any lights.

This has been going on for weeks now, every night, for several hours.

Your post of unusual activity near Pope/Bragg coincides with what I've been casually observing.

Be interesting to keep watching. When they stop, then I'll really be scanning the news.

Get confirmation and get back to us. I like my fresh doom to be back up with at least one more hearsay statement before I launch into panic-sex.

As much panic sex you've been having lately..you should be caught up with octo mom!

but really...how many of these damn threads are we going to get..I'll believe it when my eyeballs are hitting the back of my skull.

Oh good God the suitcase nukes... These alleged devices are vintage 1950's-1960's IF they exist at all. And that is a very big IF. It's very important to understand that unlike chemical weapons (regular high explosives) nuclear weapons need regular maintenance. The decay of the nuclear material degrades not only the fissile material but the electronics that support it. The only way these weapons COUL exist is if they were being regularly maintained and the fissile material replaced periodically.

IF these devices exist they have long since ceased to function.

I was in the Army in the 80's and I can tell you for sure these "suitcase nukes" exist. Without going into too much detail I was with a combat engineering unit back then I personally knew guys that handled these things. They were basically suicide missions because if you set one off you had to get damn far away before it went off to survive. As far as I know the US Army stopped using them in the late 80's. If we had them you can bet that the Soviets had them too.

The carrying case for the W54 Special Atomic Demolition Munition (SADM). The SADM had a yield of 0.01, or 0.02-1 kiloton and was operationally deployed between 1964 and 1988. The entire unit weighed less than 163 pounds (74 kilograms).

I will have to set a reminder for myself for the beginning of November so that I can come back to this post and ask you about it. I would rather poop on your fresh doom than sit here and participate in it (but I just had to come back to see your comment). See you in November Plucky....

Well so much for this thread. It has been 2 weeks today and nothing has happened....yet another attempt to put a time line on things that obviously are not supposed to have one. One more work to go Plucky....

The sky is falling....the sky is falling.....oh no.....look out. Not another prediction.

Um, you have nothing to contribute other than pooping on our fresh doom? I have you know that the end of October is the end of us all, as written in the maximus scribes of transcendentalists that said so some time ago, you know who they are.

I say enjoy peanut butter and jelly while we can.

Oh man.....only a few more hours until your prediction is debunked.....still here.

My thoughts exactly! The doom threads here on ATS are out of control.
