This may be a very odd post, but here goes.

Since about 2003 the number 37 has become very prevalent in my life. It seems to pop up everywhere, extremely frequently.

Now, yes, it may be something that I've simply programmed my mind to see, or perhaps it's subconsciously important to me in some way, but that doesn't explain why several times since '03, when I've mentioned this in passing to people, they often say, "No way, me too." Always that pesky number 37.

I googled it once, and found several websites dedicated to the seemingly random number. I though maybe it could be this way for ANY number...but I couldn't really find any other sites dedicated to any particular two-digit number. There's a site for people who see 11:11 on the clock and all that, which I'm pretty sure I've seen mentioned on here once or twice.

But the number 37 just seems to be a number that people seem drawn to for some reason. Bands, television shows, movies, I've even seen someone with a license plate that read "374ever" several times, in different cities in my county. that one's really odd.

I guess what always grabbed my curiosity was the little things. Paychecks and bills that end in 37 cents, the number being randomly spray-painted on a wall, my order number at a restraunt. Just silly little things that appear to happen almost consistently and not just to me. Bizarre.

So, anyways, I'm not here to ask why, exactly. I'm not looking for an explanation, per se.

I'm just looking to see if anyone else has had the same experience with the number 37.

I'm sure many of you will be able to at least referrence the number in media, but what i'm asking about is any personal experiences with the number 37.

yep. 37 is common for me to see, I note seeing it, but I don't take it for much meaning. I mean, yes, I see it on a daily basis. On the money sheets, in change, on the clock, serial numbers, ect. But it's not a big deal to me.

I see the numbers 6, 9, 11, 13, 22, 33 and other double digits much more often.

In reality, I do believe, since this is only my opinion, that if you consciously (and somehow unconsciously) make it important in some fashion to see a grouping of digits versus another grouping, then that is what you will see.

If you tell yourself that it's a bad sign, and fear it, it will still happen, only the way you look at events and the events themselves will recapitulate your fear of it.

Whereas, if you look forward to it, and think of it as a good sign, it's more for affirmation.

13:37 military, is 1:37 PM. I used to see this alot. I would get home on the weekends, and it would be 1:37. It was fun for a while, but I appreciate double digits more now and so I see them more often.

Most likely you see specific numbers that somehow has left more clear imprint in your memory. It is somewhat comparable to the mind of an architecht that only pays attention to the structures that are on his field of interestest.

You might like to read a book (or perhaps it's a paper) by C.G. Jung, entitled "On Synchronicity". He addresses this issue. I don't remember whether he ever mentions the number 37, but I doubt it.

Thank you for your replies, but you're all more or less trying to explain why I see it. I've been more curious about why I'm not the only one.

I guess it could all just be coincidence, but I always find it strange that I meet other people who see that same particular number. That's the aspect I can't explain.

Programming myself to see it is something I can grasp, but it feels like too large a coincidence for me to be meeting other people that have the same tendency to see 37.

I guess it shall remain a mystery.

Well, it is just my opinion.

I guess it could be some sort of link to the type of people I'm drawn to, or the people that are drawn to me. But it still baffles me as to what relevance a particular number could have to more than one person so that it would be a prominent presence in their lives, and moreso that they could run into more than one of them.

It's like 3 people with 6 fingers on one hand running into each other at a supermarket in the toilet paper aisle. Just odd.

I know what it means to me, but that doesn't mean it means the same thing to other people who see it.

I hear ya. Never really attached any good or bad relevancy to the number, honestly. It's just a number. But a persistent one. LOL

I'm not so curious as to why I see it a lot, as I am as to why many of the people I've met do, too. They all seem to see it for different reasons, though. I guess it's just one big coincidence that we all happened to meet. Anything is possible. Mass numeric hysteria? LOL

Perhaps I should have simply asked if anyone else saw it and why they think they do. I think my purpose here has been altogether missed.

I figured I'd throw it out there and see if anyone else had a propensity to see the number. If anyone does, I guess they didn't see this post. LOL

Here's another one for you, I am 37 Years Old. I saw this number a lot when I turned newly 37. I'll be thirty eight in March, then I suppose I will see 38 all the time.

Wow, OP. When I read this thread title and your post, my heart jumped to my throat - I've been experiencing this phenomena too, specifically with the number 37, since 2003 as well. I'm shocked and amazed that other people have experienced this too. For the longest time, I thought I was the only person. Most other people see 23 or 11:11, but for me it's always 37. I see it on average 5 times per day, but recently it's been on a sharp decline - 3 times per day at the absolute most.

I see it in everything. Receipts, times on the clock, I even saw it in my serial number on my laptop (TWICE! it has 3737 in it, haha). Occasionally I'll even catch glimpses of it when I do damage in World of Warcraft. Usually the 37 comes in the form of 137 or 337 if not just on its own. One time I was even explaining this to a friend of mine - I was in his bedroom at the time, sitting in his computer chair while he was on his bed. Behind him on the wall is a collection of pesticide signs he'd taken from lawns (weird collection, I know) and each one has a specific number printed on it. Lo and behold, once I was done telling him about the 37 phenomenon, I looked over his shoulder and there it was on one of his pesticide slips.

I'll admit I haven't read any of the posts in this thread yet (trust me, I will) but I have a theory. I don't think it's anything paranormal, I think it's just psychological magnetism. I believe that people of certain personality types are drawn to certain types of recurring numbers. That is to say, the numbers occur just as frequently as any other number, but due to our psyche, we pick up on the appearance of those certain numbers. For example, I think that "dreamy" or "wishful” thinkers are drawn towards 11:11 because of its "make a wish" connotation. I'm not sure who would be drawn to 23 or 37, but I think everyone who experiences the same number repetitions may be very similar personalitywise.

Please do not multiply Number 37 with 18.
