Reality tv, Experiment On Human Behavior?

Hello everyone, well I decided to post this thread because one day, I was watching the real world and a thought came to my mind, what if all these reality shows were experiments on human behavior and/or emotions, I know that all these shows might or are fake but what if most of them aren't.

First off, the fact that you were watching "Real World" and a thought came to your mind is a feat in and of itself. I personally hold the belief that these shows are experiments on how dumb producers can make a show and still have people tune in. The vast majority of these shows have the illusion of being real but you must realize that the way the participants are selected and the editing that goes on, it is an extremely biased representation on how people really act.
Hypothetically, if most of these shows aren't fake, than I fear for the future of the human race.

I do hope they're fake because they're an embarrassment if they actually behave like that in real life.

I rarely if ever watch TV btw.
