I dedicate this thread to my brother who practiced breaking in the eighties with such fervour that he broke bits.
He staked out his teenage teritory in our garage with a flattened cardboard box to break on. The old man thought that his son had finally shown some common sence and laid out some cardboard to absord the oil drip from his 1967 Chrysler Valiant. When dad parked over the cardboard, there were tears (all boys are sissys), and my mother had to interve giving him part of my sisters and I play room downstairs to break dance on. The princess palace was not happy!

But ohhh how I miss the soul glow hair, Baggy trousers, mesh tank tops.
All kinds of music to break to
Universal ..

News report, claims james brown started it all...

his favourite song to break to, lol I can still see his routine to this! Duck dives, robot, electirc worm.

That's all I can recall for now ... there are others but I can't remember artist names or song titles.

Most people today don't realize where Michael Jackson got a lot of his moves. They were essentially Turbo and Ozone with a touch of MJ. Seriously - watch Thriller, then watch Electrorock again.

Me and a couple of friends were the worst breakdancers ever seen and couldn't graffiti worth a damn. Looking at the Breakdance clips, who ever thought that Ozone and Turbo looked so gay?! When I was a kid they looked way cool. Breakdancing has carried on and the skills are ridiculous (retarded, off the hook as they say, yup, I'm still down with it...sad ), the stuff they do nowadays should be in the Olympics, it's pure athleticism and a ton cooler than anything else. Here's a couple of vids to take your breath away and put a smile on your day.........

Someone needs to call Newton and tell him his so-called 'ideas' about gravity or bogus.....
