An investigation of the 9/11 events by a Russian-American journalist and a father of a 9/11 victim implicates the US government in the attacks.

ALEX PROKOP (Jarek Kupsc), a successful journalist, receives a rare 9/11 video tape revealing new information about the attack. The footage was sent by PAUL COOPER (Joseph Culp), a driven researcher, whose daughter died on 9/11. Sensing a good story, Prokop travels with Cooper to New York and Washington, DC, where they uncover suppressed information implicating the US Government in the attacks. As Cooper introduces Prokop to key eye-witnesses, the façade of the "official story" begins to crumble. Prokop hears accounts of underground explosions in the Twin Towers moments before their collapse and discovers that the firm providing WTC security was run by the President's brother.

We follow Alex and Cooper as they investigate the inexplicable collapse of the 47-story WTC Building Seven, disprove the implausible airliner "attack" on the Pentagon, and uncover the illegal destruction of physical evidence from Ground Zero.

The pressure builds as the FBI intimidates Alex's editor, McGUIRE, (Lisa Black) to reveal key sources – while the magazine's corporate investors threaten to kill the entire story. Plagued by the ghosts of his Communist childhood and trying to uphold the independence of American journalism, Alex's search for the truth leads to a dangerous and shocking realization!

THE REFLECTING POOL is an intense, sobering investigation into the most controversial tragedy of our time. Drawn from established sources and based on verifiable facts, THE REFLECTING POOL is a thought-provoking study of a search for truth and the profound consequences of not looking for it any further than the nightly news.

well here it is... i've heard nothing but rave reviews over this film, but i've also heard that it is based on some misinformation, too...

you be the judge - let me know what you think... i'm going to watch it as soon as i can make the time between taking care of my new son and looking for a job!

by the way, there's already an existing thread about this from over a year ago, but i was afraid that if i posted the video in there it would get buried within it only to never be seen. Mods, i'll understand if you close and revert this thread, but at least make it so the video is embedded in the OP in the original thread...

Good film... Pretty much presents all the evidence most people here have already dug up. Including how there are wackjobs out there making up nonsense (holograms) to make smart truthers look foolish. In the end it basically tells people who don't believe the official lie that no matter what evidence they dig up there will be someone out there who will stop them. Even if something goes to print or film, they will be mocked by the MSM and eventually black listed. It's actually a sad movie.

You do realize that the second paragraph of the "synopsis" contains a lie right? Is that an indication of the accuracy of the whole film?

Thats an out and out lie. One that has been shown to be a lie many, many times over on ATS.

He sat on the board of directors, I believe he would have the power to give orders prove me wrong.

Swampfox, did you bother to read this comment in the OP?

Obviously you didn't, otherwise you wouldn't have asked the OP the question that you did.

After you've watched the film, you can report to us how accurate you think it is. Until then, your unfounded speculation about the whole film is pointless. Let us know how many errors you spot - after you've watched it, ok?

It's only an oversimplification. The movie itself is more nuanced, making it clear that while Marvin Bush was indeed on the board of directors of Securacom, which later changed its name to Stratesec, but he left before 9/11, in 2000 to be precise. This doesn't mean he didn't have time to do some things to the Twin Towers while he was there; he joined Securacom in 1996 after all. There is much more to the story as well. Wirt Walker, who is a distant relative of George Herbert Walker Bush (George W. Bush's father), was head of the company. His wikipedia entry has been deleted, allegedly because he was a "[p]rivate businessman with extremely few reliable sources, questionable notability.", and finishing off with that catch all dismissal, "Most material found online is from conspiracy websites."

However, there are still some articles out there about him. Here's an excerpt from one of reporter Margie Burns' articles, Trimming the Bushes - Family Business at the Watergate, published in the Washington Spectator:

TIGHT LINKS—The boards and shareholders of the three companies—the investment firm KuwAm, the security company Stratesec, and the aircraft company Aviation General—were tightly connected. Walker, a director at all three companies, was at various times CEO and chairman of the board at Stratesec while at the same time managing director at KuwAm, including when Stratesec hired KuwAm for corporate secretarial services at $2,500 a month. Stratesec, which was de-listed on the American Stock Exchange in the fall of 2002 and went bankrupt, also paid Walker $130,500 annually for consulting, according to its quarterly filings. Both Stratesec and Aviation General are bankrupt now, and KuwAm has relocated its headquarters from the Watergate to Walker's home in McLean, Virginia, a Washington suburb.

Mishal Al Sabah, son of the former Emir of Kuwait and ex-son-in-law of the current Emir, also served on the boards of both KuwAm and Stratesec and sometimes as chairman of KuwAm. Walker and Al Sabah were major shareholders in both companies. According to interviews Walker has given, their close relationship began when Al Sabah came to America at age 15. When Al Sabah turned 21, he invested in Walker's companies, including KuwAm, where another Al Sabah relative also served on the board.

There's also some info on Marvin Bush's involvement in the same article:

Marvin P. Bush, the youngest brother of George W. Bush and a director of Stratesec, was reelected annually to his directorship there, near the Saudi Arabian Airlines offices. In 2002, the companies moved their shareholders meetings to the Watergate's Suite 500, held by the Kuwaiti embassy.

Aviation General was founded in the early 1980s as Commander Aircraft. It manufactured and sold private planes to international clients. Stratesec was founded as Securacom (formerly the engineering firm Burns and Roe Securacom). It was reinvented shortly after the first Gulf War, and thereafter marketed large security contracts to big clients, including the World Trade Center, Washington's Reagan National Airport and Dulles International Airport, various municipalities and airlines.

For starters, there is no reporter I could find named Alex Prokov. As you probably know, the movie says at the beginning that some of the names have been changed, however, leaving the possibility open that there was a reporter by a different name who did what Alex Prokov did. Honestly though, I think that if someone could be said to be Alex Prokov, it would have to be the actor who played that character himself, who also wrote and directed the film. This doesn't mean that he didn't incorporate the work of other reporters and in essence became something of a montage of various reporters who found out various things. If you want to be more sure of the reality base, however, I'd stick to the things that the various characters say.

Personally, I only know of 1 reporter who reported on building 7, James Glanz, in his New York Times article Engineers Suspect Diesel Fuel in Collapse of 7 World Trade Center. However, unlike the reporter depicted in your clip, James Glanz has done rather well for himself concerning what happened on 9/11, writing a book on the subject no less, City in the Sky - The Rise and Fall of the World Trade Center. James Glanz, in particular, has since his stories concerning 9/11 first broke out, moved far up in the New York Times; Wikipedia states that in 2007, he was appointed as Baghdad bureau chief of The New York Times. Because of this, I'm guessing that Alex Prokov is perhaps speaking of another journalist that I may have not heard about.

I mean, sites like whatreallyhappened.com, in its article Larry Silverstein, WTC 7, and the 9/11 Demolition obtained their facts from many reports, which they've linked to, although the internet being what it is, some of those links are now dead.

As to your second link, I haven't heard of a reporter personally interviewing the guy in question, but I -have- heard of people asking demolition experts the types of questions concerning what the term "pull it" means in the demolition industry and getting similar answers.

And you fall prey to another lie. Wirt Walker, is NOT related to the Bush family. If you do a little bit more research on Ms. Burns you will see that she was wrong.
