Friends, this video is a perfect example of why the political discussion in this country has degraded into the sad sate it currently enjoys.
Simply put - the video captures CNN doing what it does best, which is 'entertaining'. Important questions come up and are ignored. Divisive claims
are left un-addressed. Distortions are allowed to be broadcast without a counterpoint or clarification. Gone are the intelligent discussions of the
past where political hallways were explored with an open mind and unfettered curiosity where the goal was to reach the truth.
Now the goal is simply to entertain the audience with flash, glitz, conflict and some pretty graphics. The 'soul' of the story is gone.
Now, don't get me wrong - this isn't meant to say that only CNN is guilty of this, far from it. We all know that Fox is every bit as guilty in
feeding the beast.

I watched the clip yesterday and he did hit the nail on the head. Fact checking is a thing of the past its more entertaining to have people argue over
baseless claims and propaganda then to discuss the facts and call people out for lieing.

I watched this last night and also thought he hit on a very important issue. It's SO blatant in the "news" reporting of today. We can't get real
news from these networks today. We need to watch with a very skeptical mind and look everywhere and then realize that we still don't have the whole
story.
I'm out of time and going to have to leave it there.

Thank you for the laughter.
But that's what the media is there for, to confuse and divide. Like most speeches given by political leaders, what they say has no substance,
leaving you with this let-down, empty feeling completely unempowered to do anything. Hence the viewership.
They get less than 1 million views for their shows almost every night. (.33%)
What's really messed up is that Fox gets like 3 mil., yet thankfully it is mostly the 55 and older crowd.
And don't get me started on that painted grouse of person, Nancy Grace. She reminds me of Boyd's mom in True Blood. Always passes judgement.

Just finished watching that segment. It was really good.
I can barely stand to listen to any form of news anymore. What is covered on the major news channels just infuriates me in mere minutes within tuning
in. The only two forms of news listening I can stand anymore are coast to coast and mike rivero's what really happened show. I use to listen to alex
jones for news, but I can barely stand even him anymore. He constantly yells and whines. Its just incredibly irritating.
So yes, kudos to john, maybe someday the networks will get tired of him showing people what they really are, and get their butts in gear.

That was great, until they had the Department of Homeland Security on the show to discuss why they need to "execute" conspiracy theories.
This is a staple of the Daily Show. It's a new way of slinging propaganda and disinformation. Basically, how it works is they devote a segment of the
show to slam a certain aspect of the US or government, such as the media which is the typical scapegoat. Thus warming the hearts of all those people
who are wary of the government and media for the sole purpose of easing the shock value of their next segment; which in this case was a rather overt
statement that people should not have "conspiracy theories".
Sacrifice one aspect to strengthen another totalitarian view, they're evolving. Make the skeptics and "rebels" agree with you on one segment,
basically feigning truth as a sacrifice in order to gain support for a much more authoritarian issue at hand.
People are being conned into thinking that Jon Stewart (among others) is a "truth seeker".

www.thedailyshow.com...
As of right now, the video is on the front page.
The video is pretty humorous and brings up a lot of good points about the mainstream media.

All this and the fact that the Jon Stewart show is a Viacom product, who own CBS, MTV, BET and Paramount.

ty! for pointing that out. I also noticed in the next segment when stewart lightly brushes over some important issues and doesn't ask any real
questions.

the department of homeland security interview is the kicker, because he FAILS TO ASK any hard hitting questions. heres what im talking about,
paraphrased.
jon: is the vaccine safe?
DHS lady: yes.
what should have come next is a question urging her to back up her statements, and there was none. so jon will just have to "leave it there".
good for a laugh, but i'll never trust you again stewart.

This was the funniest thing I saw in a long time. I was sitting there sreaming right along with him. hah. Good stuff.
MSM has become a joke. What concerns me though, is how much sites such as this one are following close in their footsteps. Lots of dis-info running
rampant, and sites such as this is becomming a harbor for these types of people. IMO, if they cant get through to you on T.V, they will just take it
straight to the internet where they can. I say, watch out.

If he really revealed the Truth, he wouldn't be on. Or worse he might be dead.
So be thankful he is able to say part of the truth.
