This is a very good idea in my opinion. Too many threads showing up on the TOP board that simply do not belong.
How about a rating system instead of a flag, where people can rate a thread on a scale of one to five. This way the negative threads will be taken
down by a balance of those who agree and those who disagree giving high and low ratings. Then the truly best threads that most people want to rate
high will make it to the TOP board, because there are a great many interesting threads that wind up in obscurity because they are buried by the hate
I started a thread not too long ago on the same topic only to have it shut down by Intrepid, with no citation of an ATS policy for shutting down my
thread, except that he disagreed with me. I felt that this was abuse by a mod. I sent a complaint about a week ago, but have not received any reply.
I thought I should bring this up hear, because I thought that maybe Sceptic Overloard was unaware.
Here is the a link to the last page of the thread.
This is Intrepid's comment on why he shut down the thread.
And you have. People have shown you that is isn't right, nor is it going to happen. To continue would be pointless.
Is it right for a mod to shut down a thread because he disagrees with the content?
Shouldn't he have been required to cite an ATS rule for closing the thread?
