The US embassies were closed a couple of weeks ago, it seems the Taliban is planning to fight America in South Africa, I surely hope that this wouldn't affect South African's we have got enough problems and can hardly deal with our own criminals. Threats like these isn't making our job to attract people to our World Cup any easier.

I believe there is the potential for a lot of crime at next years FOOTBALL World Cup Now the increase of a terrorist threat. I think they should have moved it to England where we are better prepared for the World Cup.

only thing i need is terrorist attack on a stadium. seen all kinds of football riots but terrorist - no thank you

it would be nicer world cup if it would be held in England.

I don't understand why we insit on holding these high profile events in 2nd and 3rd world countries where the police can't even handle the most basic of criminal investigations much less a major international event.

It's the same thing when they selected Rio for the 2016 Olympics ... what the f--k were they thinking? Criminal gangs practically control entire swaths of Rio and Sao Paulo

because it's fair.
every continent has right to be host of the event called World Cup.

now that hosts are insecure countries compared with Switzerland is another thing.
We have Euro cup so we can be safe /sarcasm

Oh don't worry, you will be safe. In fact I reccomend you go to Hillbrow - great hotels there. (sarcasm)

We never get tasered by our own cops, so far our government hasn't invaded anyone else. We havent even flew any planes into our own buildings or caused a Global Economic Crisis.
In fact we don't even have the Death Penalty.

What a terrible country we must be.

Personally I am more afraid of European Soccer Hooligans than any terrorist attack.
A bunch of insane lunatics so hyped up over a simple game of Football that they have to go around assaulting and killing each other - and the poor innocents that get stuck in the middle.

Yeah because they are afraid to even leave their stations.

our government hasn't invaded anyone else

Yes you have, Namibia in 1915 during World War I and Angola in 1975 during the South African Border War. I also believe the SANDF made a few incursions into Botswana in the 1990s.

In fact we don't even have the Death Penalty.

You did until 1995 ...

Please, I might be an American but I am not stupid.

You are talking about the Apartheid government ... I think we all agree that they were not very popular and perhaps a trifle over-enthusiastic in protecting our skin colour.

I am talking about the government we have had for the last 15 years ... the democratically elected one.
The New South Africa? Heard of it?

Your argument is like me accusing you of a crime your Father committed, and finding YOU guilty.

OK, so lets hang all white Americans for the atrocities they committed against the native American population or against the African slaves they 'imported' form Africa ... pshhhh ... "No, no that wasn't us ... that was our forefathers and we had nothing to do with it!" I hear you whine ... get over it already - South Africa is no more democratic that America is since all citizens got the right to vote ... both of our countries are in the grip of a socialist agenda and while the US's is slightly more refined, SA is playing monkey see monkey do ... we are thus no different and face the same challenges ... wake up and deny ignorance ... or stand in line to receive your stupid sign.

As for the 2010 thing ... I think we're up for another false flag event that is intended to provide the excuse for the US to establish a strong military presence not only on the African continent but more importantly in South Africa, the leading nation on the continent. Our time has come ... they (the US and other world powers) have allowed Africa to sink into weakness, poverty and helplessness so that the take over will be that much easier ... but be careful - China also has its sights set on the same targets ... watch this space.

I just hope they never discover any huge reserves of oil in Southern Africa else then we would really be nailed.

Now that the gold price is rocketing, maybe the US needs to replenish their reserves ...
