Here is my views on our ACTUAL TAX RATES

Now I will not be including fallacies like deductions and Earned Income Credits and the like in my rant, because those are just redistribution techniques.
Because someone decided to have 12 kids does not mean that someone that did not should be paying a higher rate. The only numbers that I will be giving are actual rates and taxes that we Americans pay before all of the other crap that our government has instituted to keep the sheeple
happy.

Social Security-7.65 % for employees 15.3 % self employed
.....So the actual for both is 15.3%
Medicare-2.9 % half by employer half employee
.....So the actual is 2.9%
Federal Income Tax-these will be for the highest-single
0-8350 =10 %
8350-33950 =15 %
33950-82250 =25 %
82250-171550 =28 %
now I am not going to go higher, because knowledgeable
people know that after a certain level $1 salaries become
the norm
State Income Tax 0-9.3% of income and varies widely
State Social type taxes vary widely

Now lets look at the total for a single person earning an average pay of say 43,000-they will pay 48.2% of their income in income taxes

Now a list of taxes that are either direct or hidden

State sales tax-0-7.25 % funny how California has the highest
County sales tax-0-5% highest may be Cook County
City sales tax-0-7% Wrangell, Alaska

Now the highest total sales tax in the US is held none other than Chicago at a total of 12% in Cook County

Now a quicklist of taxes that are hidden in everything so we do not see the correlation between these and what we are taxed

Real Estate-numerous types
Licensing-of all types including driving, work, leisure
Auto Insurance-if it is required it is a tax
Rain-yes there are rain taxes-water runoff etc
Excise taxes
Liquor taxes-this needs its own line
Tobacco taxes-currently at a rate in my area of $3.95/pack
.....at a price of $5.25/pack that is a rate of 305% than you have to pay sales tax on the tax
Tariffs
Heating Fuel
Heating Gas
Electric Tax
Phone Tax
Cell Phone Tax
Franchise Tax
Cable Tax
Internet Service Tax
Farmers Tax-included in this one farmers paid not to produce
Registration of personal property-includes vehicles, boats etc
Recreation Taxes-included hunting and fishing
Conservation Tax
Gaming Tax
Petroleum Tax-seperate-to drill you pay a tax to refine-etc etc
Mineral Tax
Waste Disposal Tax
INFLATION TAX-THE LARGEST OF THEM ALL

Now I could go on and list every NOUN in the English language and their
would be a tax that our government has placed on it.

Now just a couple of observations.

1 The government can no longer raise rates because we will not allow it,
but we can make up a whole new thing. CAP AND TAX
2 Their are so many taxes we cannot know what we actually pay in taxes anymore.
3 The founding fathers rebelled after a .3% tax on tea
4 When will we say enough is enough

I BELIEVE OUR ACTUAL TAX BURDEN IS ACTUALLY AT THE RATE OF 80-90% OF WHAT
WE EARN

DO NOT AGREE than add your 2 cents worth, Lord knows if you don't the
government will tax it before you use it.

May I add my 2 c worth if I agree?

I have actually thought about this a lot lately but have not researched it as you have.

I have felt overwhelmed on taxes. Granted you are not taxed on federal income tax or state taxes, tho in some state they are called sales tax or real estate tax. There are all the hidden taxes we pay for gas, cigarettes, phone, utilities, license, car registration, etc.

Is it any wonder we are revolting?

To my knowledge, did the people start paying taxes for protection(i.e. Military)

I can understand the taxes to fund a military, to help build schools and keep them maintained, to build roads and keep them maintained, I however do not understand the other hidden taxes, where does that money actually go? You now have me thinking and Ill do a little searching for where things go.

It is beyond ridiculous how much people are taxed, not just here in the States, but the world around.

That after taxes, he has no dough.

Tax him more,
Tax hi m until he's good and sore.

Tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in which he lays.

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago,
and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class
in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What happened? Can you spell 'politicians!'

And I still have to 'press
1' for English.

As I recall it goes to pay for services, the federal tax is used to pay down INTEREST on the national debt that they perpetuate, by borrowing money (the money they print) from outside influences.

Which always made me wonder why the US is the only country in the WORLD that borrows and pays interest on the it's own money!!!

I constantly wonder why more arent and why it took this long to get as few to revolt as are.

We went to war for an awful lot less. For what a bunch of farmers were willing to face certain death at the hands of the most powerful force on Earth we should be wholly ashamed and embarrassed for what we put up with today.
