Simple Logic: Whites are in the same class group in this country. Therefore they are more likely to unite with each other. Perhaps you are trying to accuse Democrats of uniting the Brown people against the White people in pursuit of a political agenda. We also have seen republicans in the last 10 years use the fear of "brown people (mainly Mexicans and Arabs) to wage xenophobic wars and laws. Like I said in another thread there is enough egg for all of us Americans to smear on our faces. Don't accuse someone of being the problem when ALL of you are the problem. This country has turned into one giant collective fart and you all stank. End of story.

Why do liberals/democrats hate so much? The democrat party has a history steeped in hatred. If you want a conspiracy, then the one played on the American people about the democrat party is a whopper.

-------------------------------------
my response to your first paragraph (above) at the start of this thread:

well, for starters, you using the phrase " the democrat party" instead of what it has been called for over a hundred years "the DEMOCRATIC party" could be a clue for you. so for me, the rest of what you wrote, will simply be digs and insults,...in other words, unreadable. and of course, since you are a republic, you won't recieve a warning about political baiting, when it is obvious that your first lines of your thread post, was exactly that.

Forgive the semantics.

Issues, though. Issues.

Really? No poor whites?

What xenophobic wars and laws would you be referring to? Enforcing UN mandates while the world turned a blind eye is against brown people? How about ousting the government which harbored UBL and Al-Qaeda? That was really just to get brown people?
Immigration laws? If we had 15 million illegal white Canadians in the US and passed laws attempting to curb their invasion, would you be crying about passing laws against white people?

What makes a post "troll-bait" is not the topic of discussion, but the manner in which it is presented. The title and post are both inflammatory. They are not raising legitimate questions, they are attempts to incite an angry response.

Imagine changing the word "democrats" to name some ethnic group. "Why do [ethnics] hate so much?" Post something like that, and you'll see that it's an inflammatory title. If it isn't deliberately intended to create anger, it nevertheless has that effect. The OP knew, or should have known, that such a title and post would inflame anger.

There is nothing wrong about questioning the behavior of people, Democrats included. However, in this particular case, it would have been far better to establish that "Democrats" are so full of hate. Some links to examples of posts or articles by Democrats, demonstrating this alleged fullness of hate, would have been appropriate. A statement such as "The [D]emocratic [P]arty has a history steeped in hatred" should have had a link to a site that provided evidence of such a history. Ideally, the link would lead to the text of speeches by Democrats who showed racism.

The single article to which OP linked was not what I would call objective or unbiased. "gopcapitalist.tripod.com"? OK, GOP is "Republican". "Capitalist" is what some Republicans call themselves, as they call Democrats Socialists, Communists, or other names. "Tripod.com" is a free Website hosting company that allows ordinary humans to make Websites where they can post just about whatever they please. Ordinary humans often tell the informed truth; but they often don't. This source has no credibility. It is neither unbiased nor accurate.

Even if it were accurate, it is one thing to show that the Democratic Party had a history of racism. It is another to show that it still practices actual racism. Granted, the Southern Democrats were responsible for much racism and for blocking antidiscrimination efforts. OTOH, they joined their fellow Democrats in electing a Black man to office. Apparently their racism isn't as active now, as it was in the past. The question was in the present tense, but the post referred to past history. Most, if not all, of those people cited are dead.

None of this actually matters. It is possible to post such statements, even uninformed ones, without being a troll. A person can simply be uninformed about the topic and spout off what he thinks. That doesn't make him a troll. On the flip side, even if everything in a post is 100% true, it could still be troll-bait, depending on how it was presented.

What makes someone a troll is, as I said, presenting any opinions or information in a way that is likely to cause anger or hurt. We all know what sorts of posts those are. Pretending you don't understand is disingenuous. If you ask *any* group, "Why are all you guys such a**?", the chances are good that they will respond angrily.

If you really, truly can't tell the difference, then turn your question around and apply it to yourself. If hearing it about you would get you mad, then others will also likely get mad. If hearing it about you would just make you stop and think, then chances are good it's a legitimate question to ask.

The funny thing is that we do turnaround European-Americans. Has anyone see the shows Fraser and Mr. Belvedere. They were commentaries about Europeans being deported for not being here legally.

Daphne and Belvedere were symbols of white immigrants who fought for citizenship. Eventually they obtained the status by following the rules. It was pop culture's way of addressing the issues.

Illegal immigration is not limited to Mexicans. What makes them stand out are their numbers.

when you disagree you are an Uncle Tom. Ironic, for a party that once supported segregation.

I have had peoples jaws actually DROP when I stated that I was a conservative. Lil' ol' me. A dark/mixed/mutt/high-yellah/caucasian-oid.

Never been called an Uncle Tom to my face, but then again, most people are really confused when it comes to my "race".

Pssssssssssst, I say, "Human"

And what truly gets me about it?

Black people are encouraged by their pastors and churches to go vote Democrat. Why is this? How did the Democrats get the love of the blacks when it was Republicans that freed them and Republicans that fought for their Civil Rights?
I. Just. Don't. Get. It.

What magic trick did they pull?

We might as well ponder why so many conservative pastors urge their flocks to vote Republican because they are "pro-life" yet it's also the party that started two wars and is responsible for the deaths of thousands of civilians.

Sounds pretty pro-life to me eh?

But in all fairness the Democrats would have done the same things since they are owned by the same bunch of fools.

Thank you for your response. I stand by my title/statements though. I felt it was important enough to address. As for the responses? I am impressed. Like so many of them, they did in fact, support my contentions.

A little drama sometimes doesn't hurt. If it can be called trolling, then so be it. Although, I have always tried to provide inciteful responses and add(as is my nature) a little humour along the way.

Great PR. They are just better at it than conservatives. Sad but true.

I have done this (I pass for white). By and large they try to run their own candidates. The local chapter did endorse McCain though.

I am a living/breathing example of a shade of grey.

While I agree with your statement, I just wish it weren't so.
