Voices (poem)

Voices

Laughter behind you
too soft to be true.
The air filled with smells
from memories of before.
Laughter from above
too loud to be decent.
Sweated cheats and
voices from a past,
never meant to last.

Alone behind a prison wall,
the terrible silence
of a darkened room.

Cry out your endless pain!
Strength grows,
and pride rises again.

'till then you cry...
Feel nauseous and lousy.
Let tears play with your eye,
thoughts play with your soul.

You hurt so much...
I know.
