Hi ImaginaryReality1984, very interesting cases, thanks for posting, here is another case with robotlike Beings.
It happened in Russia in a village called Voronezh and it was an adventure of several young children who claimed to have seen a three-eyed alien with a robot escort.

The Voronezh, Russia Aliens .

One of the most bizarre accounts of UFO folklore involves an incident that allegedly occurred in Voronezh, Russia. This case was reported in the United States by the St. Louis Dispatch. The story was originally published on October 11, 1989, in America, but its origin was the Russian newspaper TASS.

The report recounts the adventures of several young children who claimed to have seen a three-eyed alien with a robot escort. The alien was said to be about nine foot tall. The craft, according to eye witness testimony, landed on the outskirts of the city. Shortly thereafter, the tall alien appeared, and upon seeing the young lad, shot a type of weapon at him, causing him to vanish before the eyes of the other people around him.

There are several important elements one must keep in mind regarding this extremely strange case of a close encounter. The original details of the case were brought forward by Genrikh Silanov, head of the Voronezh Geophysical Laboratory, who gave details to the TASS agency. Silanov stated that the media took an enormous amount of creative freedom with his report.

Several drawings were made by some of the children who supposedly witnessed the events of Voronezh. A couple of these are included here. One of the drawings showed the Cyrillic alphabet character "zhe" on the side of the UFO.

The TASS account also stated: "A boy screamed with fear, but when the alien gazed at him, with eyes shining, he fell silent, unable to move. Onlookers screamed, and the UFO and the creatures disappeared."

According to the report, about five minutes later, they reappeared. The alien had an object similar to a pistol - a tube about 20 inches long, which it pointed at an unidentified 16-year-old boy, making him disappear. The alien went inside the sphere, which then took off. At the same time, the boy reappeared.

Not sure if this will work, or if it is correct, but I think I have found the triangle of grass in the woods on Deschmond Hill:

Well if you look North of Flag A you can see it.

Hi OP
Great post S&F

I have always supported the idea of space exploration by robotics. I see it logical because of the following:-

It reduces the cost when you don't need to keep something alive. No need to take life support systems

The vast distances would probably mean a living creatures would not return.

Robotic versions could return lifetimes later with gathered information time would not be a travel constraint.

Robotic versions could be mass produced so wider areas could be explored, thousands could be sent off.

Robotic versions would be smaller and therefore more fuel efficient or allowing light weight drive systems.

That's just a few of the obvious benefits. I am of the opinion that a robotic device would be smaller however I guess its possible that a mother device might spawn smaller devices for diverse exploration.

Out of all alien visitations I prefer this to others.

How can his truck engine restart just like that after it stalled?
How can an object electromagnetic field could trigger the starter motor and the spark plugs? It make no sens when you think about how a engine work

The odd thing is that it is recounted in many many UFO cases. People often claim it was the first thing that happened during an encounter. Ii'm with you thinking it's strange, it is told so frequently though that i have no clue about it.

Not so strange about the engines restarting, ect. Well, given what we 'know' , and I use 'know' rather loosely here, about "their" technology. Saying it's 'impossible' or 'not possible', ect would be an arrogant assumption IMO. The reason being is it is the equivalent of the people of the tribes of the rain forest who have never seen modern technology to say, 'You can't get fire from a small metal box in your hand, (referring to a lighter), that's impossible', or 'Humans can't fly, you're telling me if I follow you into this large metal bird that I can fly thru the clouds and not die? What are you, insane?'

Kinda bad examples i know but you get the picture. All I'm saying is, we have to think OUTSIDE the Box when it comes to what they CAN and CAN'T do, seems pretty obvious to me that if you read thru the millions of UFO encounters that 'THEY' are capable of things that we've all been brought up to believe only happen in comic books or in movies.

I watched a 'ufo video' the other day where a ufologist was being interviewed, he said it best when talking about how the UFO Phenom began to really 'explode' the same year we discovered the atom bomb. He said, 'It was like all the intellegent beings in the universe or other planets all looked at earth and said, ''Oh Crap, the kids found the matches''

Pretty accurate description of us at the time I'd say, and we've not 'grown' much sense IMO

Great thread, what a compilation of cases associated with "mechanical-like" UE's (Unknown Entities). Here is another case I would like to add:

This great case as many may know as the "Flatwoods Monster Incident" is also considered to be a type of "mechanical UE incident by many ufologist. Here is some ore detail for those who do not know..

The Flatwoods Monster, or Braxton County Monster is a being reported to have been sighted in the town of Flatwoods in Braxton County, West Virginia, on September 12, 1952(although there are additional dates of sightings, we will focus on this incident). This incident is classified as a Close Encounter of The Third Kind.

Courtesy: www.ufomystic.com...

There are two entities associated with the Flatwoods Monster. The first was described as being a large pulsating red ball of light that hovered above or rested upon the ground. Ufologists believe that it may have been a powered craft that was piloted by the second entity.

Various descriptions of the second entity exist. Most agree that it was at least 10 feet tall and that it had a red face which appeared to glow from within, and a green body. Witnesses described the creature's head as having bulging, non-human eyes and as either being shaped like a heart/an Ace of Spades, or as having a large heart/Ace of Spades shaped cowling behind it. The creature's body was described as being man-shaped and clad in a dark pleated skirt; later described as being green. Some accounts record that the creature had no visible arms, while others describe it as having short stubby arms; ending in long claw-like fingers, which protruded from the front of its body.

en.wikipedia.org...

The Flatwoods case pretty much goes like this, around 7PM on 9/12/1952 multiple witnesses reported witnessing a large bright red object appear to crash land in the hills. A pungent, "metallic" smell was detected by the witnesses and there was some animal reactions (as in dogs barkings, reacting to something then cowering, which is a somewhat common report in UFO incidents, which you can research further HERE).

Lemon's dog ran ahead out of sight and suddenly began barking, and moments later ran back to the group with its tail between its legs. After traveling about ΒΌ of a mile the group reached the top of a hill, where they reportedly saw a large pulsating "ball of fire" about 50 feet to their right. They also detected a pungent mist that made their eyes and nose burn. Lemon then noticed two small lights over to the left of the object; underneath a nearby oak tree, and directed his flashlight towards them, revealing the creature, which is reported to have emitted a shrill hissing noise and to have begun to glide towards them before changing direction and heading off towards the red light. At this point the group fled in panic.

Upon returning home Mrs. May contacted local Sheriff Robert Carr, and Mr. A. Lee Stewert; co-owner of the Braxton Democrat, a local newspaper. Stewert conducted a number of interviews and returned to the site with Lemon later that night where he reported that "there was a sickening, burnt, metallic odor still prevailing". Sheriff Carr and his deputy Burnell Long searched the area separately, but reported finding no trace of the encounter.

Early the next morning; on Saturday September 13, Mr. A Lee Stewart visited the site of the encounter for a second time and discovered two elongated tracks in the mud, as well as traces of a thick black liquid. He immediately reported them as being possible signs of a saucer landing based on the premise that the area had not been subjected to vehicle traffic for at least a year. It would later be revealed that the tracks most likely belonged to a 1942 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by local Max Lockard; who had gone to the site to look for the creature some hours prior to Stewert's discovery.

en.wikipedia.org...

In addition to the UFO sighting there were reports of witnesses encountering a large (10 foot) size being in the woods. The being reportedly hovered above ground and had "scanning glowing red eyes".

Above is the common drawing of the entity, although now it seems like it was much more mechanical looking, similar to a drone maybe?

The following is a picture of the primary witnesses:

Courtesy:www.ufocasebook.com...

One of the most interesting aspects of this case is the individuals who saw the "creature', in fact the daughter of one of the witnesses was so shaken up she was admitted to a hospital for three weeks after the event:
After the event, Mr. William and Donna Smith; investigators associated with Civilian Saucer Investigation, LA, obtained a number of accounts from witnesses who claimed to have experienced a similar or related phenomena. These accounts included the story of a mother and her 21 year-old-daughter, who claimed to have encountered a creature with the same appearance and odor a week prior to the September 12 incident; the encounter reportedly affected the daughter so badly that she was confined to Clarksburg Hospital for three weeks. A statement from the mother of Eugene Lemon, in which she said that, at the approximate time of the crash, her house had been violently shaken and her radio had cut out for 45 minutes, and a report from the director of the local Board of Education in which he claimed to have seen a flying saucer taking off at 6:30 on the morning of September 13 (the morning after the creature was sighted). While some drawings seem more organic than others it does seem possible that the creature (if indeed it was real) appeared to be mechanical in nature. There has been provided a very lax alternate explanation thus far IMHO, such as the creature that was seen was an "owl", and the flaming object a meteor. I do not want to take up too much of this thread on one case so I will just leave some further links for those who are interested as there is MUCH more to the story):
