Gun Rights Soccer Mom Found Dead

Topic started on 9-10-2009 @ 09:32 PM by lostviking

Here we go, another 'accident' to justify outlawing handguns. What timing.

From Sott:
Soccer mom Melanie Hain, who made national headlines last year by having a loaded, holstered handgun at her 5-year-old daughter's soccer game, has been found shot dead in her home along with her husband, police said Thursday.

Information from 911 calls shows that it took a SWAT team nearly an hour and a half to gain entry to the Lebanon, Pennsylvania, home Wednesday evening. Inside, they found the bodies of Hain, 31, and her husband, Scott, 33, police Capt. Daniel Wright said.

Police have avoided labeling the incident a murder-suicide. However, they do not believe that another person was involved, Wright said. A full investigation is under way, he added.

"Who [Melanie Hain] is does not change the course of this investigation," he said. The autopsies are scheduled for Friday.

I read that he had caught her communicating on webcam and then shot her. It made me wonder if he caught her rubbing one out with some other guy online and flew into a fit of rage. God, my mind is sick to jump to that as the first idea of the cause.

no your mind is just filling in the blanks that are coincidal with today's normal human activities...

no reason to self loathe on that

Then here come the anti gun people chanting "Well if they didn't have guns..."

What about their little girl? I care more about what happened to her.

Well, what do you think happened to her? Placed in state custody I am sure, until a guardian or foster home can be found for her. What else should they do? Mop up and give her the keys to the house?

Many murders are passed off as suicides. I am not assuming this is the case but who knows.

Ahh, you are the one who said that; is the irony not lost on you regarding this tragedy? Too bad they were both idiots - I love it when idiots "represent" some argument and all agree with them on principle. If you read the story of her bringing her 9mm to her girls soccer game previously you would have seen that these people were nuts from the get go. Nice accident, you apologist for murdering guntoting idiots. Geeze.

These two probably were both idiots, but I am sure the liberal left will use the tragedy to demonstrate that handguns should be outlawed so the pathetic public won't hurt themselves or others.

People are crazy. If this is in fact a murder/suicide, then I guarantee they didn't need a gun to pull it off. a kitchen knife would have sufficed, or, if the attacker was substantially stronger than the victim, bare hands (the attacker could have hanged himself afterward).

My point is, guns are a tool. They shouldn't be seen as evil just because people do evil things with them.

Article didn't mention here.

So I was more or less hoping she was somewhere safe.. and not shot or kidnapped.

She should not have shown up at the soccer game with the gun fully exposed. Who knows who she scared. A mafia hit man or a CIA insider might have regarded her action as threatening.

The question is not if these two will be used as an example... The question is How many idiots own guns because people dont want a reform of gun laws? Lets face it not everyone out there should have guns and they do... legally.

You should be more afraid of criminals than idiots. At least they were not killed while committing a home invasion. There would be more home invasions if there were not so many idiots with guns.
