Hey! Dummy!

The US only attacks weak countries?

We did pretty well in WWII, when not one other country could have fought either theater as we did, and fought two separate wars.

I seem to recall the Soviet Union backing off - thrice. China once.

Korea. Eisenhower informed China that if the fighting continued, vast regions of China would become part of the soon-to-be-glowing world weather system. The ceasefire was agreed to.

1948-1949, the Soviets determined to blockade Berlin. Didn't happen, and we were flying in more material than was coming in previously by rail. It humiliated the Soviets.

Cuban missile crisis, and we were just about two hours from kickoff. They backed off, and the Soviet Union again lost face.

In 1973, while Israel was kicking the living **** out of their client states Egypt and Syria, they were going to commit troops until the US put all US forces on full alert including both conventional and nuclear forces.

The Soviets couldn't believe it. Check.

So if you think that the only folks the US stands up to is small countries, you better rethink.

Iraq in Desert Storm had 1,200,000 men in uniform, 5,800 tanks, 5,000 armored vehicles, 3,800 artillery pieces, 750 fighters and bombers, and another 200 aircraft.

Not exactly piddly numbers.

In fact, maybe you should rethink your thinking.

Thanks for that info.

To be clear, you're referring to a post in which I was responding to the OP's apparent unwillingness to fully articulate the points put forth in the original post. Note that the OP dropped off this thread after the first post.

The propaganda issues you mention have been discussed throughout this thread...

Power grants authority. These days America is the biggest superpower in the world. But I also see the influence of the recent presidencies and their foreign policies as a cause of this US superiority.
