Oct. 9 (Bloomberg) -- A man arrested yesterday by French
police on suspicion of links to al-Qaeda worked at the European
Organization for Nuclear Research, the Geneva-based center said
in a statement.
“He was not a CERN employee and performed his research
under a contract with an outside institute,” the institute
said, using its French acronym. “His work did not bring him
into contact with anything that could be used for terrorism.”
