Should anything be able to be seen with the naked eye, or are we Nasa TV bound if we want to watch the show?

oh wow only a little more then 2 hours to go, I guess I will be staying up tonight. I want to see if I can also see anything just from my backyard.
correct me if I am wrong but I heard you can see the debris with the naked eye? I don't know, but I am a little bit excited

I'll be staying up for this as well!
Could I live with myself if I inadvertently miss the start of a interstellar war?

I'm watching as well. Is this the live thread that everybody else is using who's watching? Or is there another? I remember seeing one earlier. Just
want to make sure I'm refreshing the correct thread. Toss a link if there's a thread on this topic that is more active than this one. If not, lets
all enjoy this (possible) once in a lifetime oppurtunity.
Cheers,
Strype

1 Hour and 40 minutes to go, can't wait to see the hollow moon break in two! Hope I receive NASA TV, but right now there's just a black screen.

Break in two it will not. Much bigger and heavier objects have and will continue to impact the moon. I'll assume you were being sarcastic.
And am I wrong on my time? It appears footage will begin airing in 15 minutes.

Edit: Is anyone else getting an annoying high-frequency screech when watching this??

Wouldn't it be cool if the world is watching live and instead of this "dust plume" that they are expecting nothing happens .... for a while.. and
then from this "1/2 mile wide crater with a bottom permanently in shadows" a 1/2 mile wide craft slowly rises and heads our way.

Why would you start a new thread when we're already battling between a couple of made threads for a primary?
Problem definately not solved. I suggest we all stay here.
