I was really surprised and a little upset.I had been reading this one thread and
had even given some members stars for their posting.I wanted to reply to one
member's post, suddenly,I'm not allowed to read this thread! Too late,I had
already read the thread.
I would really like to know why I couldn't respond to that thread? I didn't
recognise any members ID on the thread. If I am being restricted,I would like
to know why? There are a lot of teenagers on this forum and I am not one of
them.I will be 55 on my next birthday.
If I am going to be restricted on what I can read. You will have to let me know
why I can't read them. This kind of action is what you do to children and I'm not
a child.

Just thought I'd add that the same thing happened to me... was reading the gay/lesbian/bi school awareness thread and just as I starred a post, the
whole thread disappeared.
ETA: also got the "not allowed" message

Maybe a thread that was tossed in the trash bin?
I have never seen a error message stating that I could “not read” a thread?
Only other thing I can think of is that it got moved to RATS.

Occasionally a thread that may violate the Terms and Conditions that members may see before the Staff does, will get replies and some amount of
activity before the Staff sees it.
In that instance, when the Staff does action the thread, you will not be able to view it.
We know it is an inconvenience, but we do our best to keep the board within the standards outlined in the Terms and Conditions.

What exactly is RATS?
I get a 404 when I click on that folder. What is it?

Really Above Top Secret.
You have to pay so many points to get access to it, something like 5000. Its meant to keep certain threads out of Google searches, so the more
controversial topics sometimes go there.

Do some of the RATS topics start out on the board and then get moved? Or do they originate in RATS?
Can you give me a *hint* as to what sort of intriguing topics await there?
Is it "heavily moderated"?
Do you always have to buy your way in or is there ever an invitation and a secret handshake?

That has happened to me a few times. I think that I even posted on one or two of them and then was not allowed to view it later. I think that if you
post on a thread, you should be able to continue to view and post on it.

it either.I want to keep my points, because they don't come easy.

Both, just like all the threads on ATS. Most will be generated there, but occasionally they get moved there. Sometimes the OP asks admin to move their
thread there for some reason or other.

If its any indication… I cannot recall the last time I spent the 250 points to access it.

Same as the rest of the board.

You could try becoming a Mod perhaps.

Not sure if they are still doing it but if you go through ATS and join twitter you were fiven 5000 points.
However saying that RATS is a bit of a disappointment not much in there.

The thread in question violated the Terms and Conditions of use and was consequently put into the "Trash Bin" which, by virtue of its name and
content, is not viewable by the membership or any search bots.
