Iran Blames U.S. in Nuke Scientist's Disappearance

Iran claims the U.S. and Saudi Arabia are behind the mysterious disappearance of a nuclear scientist who vanished four months ago while on a pilgrimage to Mecca.

Amiri was a researcher at Malek Ashtar University, which is connected to Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps and was listed by the European Union last year as an entity linked to Iran's nuclear activities or weapon delivery systems.

"We've obtained documents about U.S. involvement over Shahram Amiri's disappearance," Iranian Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said. The official Islamic Republic News Agency quoted Mottaki as saying, "We hold Saudi Arabia responsible for Shahram Amiri's situation and consider the U.S. to be involved in his arrest."

Strong words coming from Iran. I wouldn't doubt that we had someting to do with Mr. Amiri's dissapearance. I wonder if he was captured or killed? I wonder which "documents" Iran "obtained" that show a link to the US.

Keep in mind that the following is purely conjecture and speculation.

The U.S. will bribe him to condemn Iran and say they're working on a nuke program.

Offer the guy a big house somewhere and a fat bank account.

Or he is being tortured by the CIA in some secret foreign prison.

We got their nuclear scientist, and iran has our wayward hikers.

I just read a Canadian article speculating that he may have defected, but it was just speculation. If we did capture him, and he has knowledge of a weapons program I wish the US would come clean so the UN can come togeather and act accordingly... Of course assuming the UN grew a pair recently

Notice how Saudi Arabia is not being included in Iran's ranting.

It is not just the US and Israel that do it it, now we have a new player.

I see a possible out come of this.

Saudi's allow Israeli bombers through their airspace and Iran attacks them for it.
This gives the US+? a reason to directly attack Iran.
(And Syria if they want to come out and play)

It answers how Israel will destroy Iran's nuclear bomb production and how the US can be involved without being the aggressor.

Nicely said - but then again the survivors of a nuke blast are often blind, crippled destined to die a nasty death... Even those who seem healthy will probably not have healthy children.
