Let's be frank here, we are ALL Americans, (At least those of us who are Americans), and YOU PEOPLE! (That would be our faulty Government who care only for themselves), are the people who PUT the rest of us into jobless situations. Here's a free clue. Take care of the voters and the voters will take care of you. (Not that you have EARNED it) But spurn us???? We will take you down. Take you down to China Town. Can I get an Amen???

I aint jobless but i might as well be!! For the most part of this year most of the staff at my work place has had a pay cut in some form, for the last 6 months I have had to take a 30% plus pay cut.

I see the post office and council workers moaning because they are offered a2.2% pay rise instead of 3% or whatever it is, and think they should quit crying.

Right on! Zenagain!

I lost my job, it went overseas. This was when W Bush was in the House. Now we have Obama and I still have no job! My unemployment ran out. Gone. Nada. So I applied, or began the proses of applying for food stamps.

For food stamps I have to prove: 1) I am a US citizen. 2) Proof of residence. 3) A letter of Termination/lay-off from my employer. 4)A letter of Termination of Unemployment benefits. 4) A letter from my land lord. 5)Copies of utilities bills. 6) Copy of phone statement. I think that is ALL!

Is this process meant to be demeaning?

I spoke to an economic professor about the Bank bail-out. He said it was a mistake and It would have been better to give each adult citizen, say $100,000. The economy would be stimulated bottom to top, not vice versa.

So, yes I am angry and frustrated. And I am beginning to think, after looking at all these alternative news sites, telling people not to get the vax, I might be on a hiring black list......

I've given up. I've been out of work for months as a direct result of the housing debacle and the big Wall Street companies crashing ( I am not in the market, just a symbiotic relationship my skillset had with them) and until the leaders get their heads out of their collective asses and when the morons in this country vote on substance and not fluff...screw it. I have alot of college and have done everything from scraping trash bins at landfills to assisting billionaires who literally print the money, so poverty is nothing new for me. Their is no coming back from this I am afraid, they have destroyed the middle class just like Argentina and the old America is no more.

So until then, I hunt my food, brew my wine and work the odd jobs the socialists will allow me to have without a permit.

Your economics professor suggested $100k to every adult citizen? Really? If we give your professor the benfit of the doubt and gave $100k to every household (rather than every adult in a household) at roughly 112M households we'd be looking at $11.2 trillion. Isn't that kind of nuts?

Here's a better idea: suspend everyone's mortgage for one year. That eliminitates most of the foreclosure issue, lets people keep their homes and allows them to pump a good portion of the money that would have gone to their mortgage back into the economy thereby saving jobs and tax revenues. A similar suspension could be worked-out for renters.

The banks would be pissed but they are partially responsible for the problem to begin with.
